Samsung’s Wi-Fi camera, the SH100, has been nominated for the Best of CES awards presented by CNET. The category for Digital Imaging includes digital cameras and camcorders. Since 2006, CNET has represented the Best of CES awards. The awards recognize the best products at the show, including a Best of Show award and a People’s Voice award, as voted by the CNET audience. The SH100 has built-in 802.11n wireless that can be used for connecting to your Wi-Fi network for automatic backups or viewing on DLNA-equipped devices; connecting to other Samsung Wi-Fi cameras for sharing; connecting to hot spots including those provided by Boingo; and connecting to an Android-powered Galaxy S smartphone.
Outside of the wireless features, the camera is an average touch-screen ultracompact. It’s using a 14-megapixel CCD, a 26mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 5x optical zoom, a 3inch LCD, and shooting modes appear to be completely automatic. The SH100 was well received by other media.
