SEA SUNDAY Today is Sea Sunday, when the Church remembers all those who live and work at sea. Without them we would not have most of the items we use in our everyday lives. Apostleship of the Sea (AOS) is the official maritime welfare agency of the Catholic Church in Great Britain. Today’s second collection will be taken at Masses throughout the country. Please give generously, and remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank you. St Amand’s Catholic Primary School St Mary’s Road, East Hendred, Wantage, OX12 8LF Tel: 01235 833342, Fax: 01235 861320, www.stamands.oxon.sch.uk This week saw the completion of the new school room. It will be used as an Education Support base for all children who get additional support. It will also be used for the After School club. It is a great facility to have. There is also a new Gazebo which will be used as an outdoor classroom and as a dry area for parents to wait in for their children after school in the fine weather. Classes 5 and 6 did two great performances of the Wind in the Willows this week. As next week is the last week of term we wish all the children and staff a great summer break. St. Amand’s is your local Catholic primary school, with a free school bus from Wantage, Grove and Didcot. You are welcome to visit at any time. Please phone Debbie, the school Administration Officer to make an appointment. Applications are also welcome from children new to the area for other classes.
Please remember our school in your prayers.
