Default Font
Select options from the menu choices.
To change the font for all new messages click the settings menu.

In the options page click on the settings section.
Below the signature section you will see the message format section. On my Outlook account settings the set font for all messages is Arial 14pt black text. To change the font, click in the font selector.

A list of all available fonts in Outlook will be listed. These are not the fonts on your computer but the fonts installed with Outlook on the Office 365 server. Scroll through the list and select a font.
A preview of the font will be displayed as sample text. Click on the font size option to change the font size.

In this example I've changed the font to Helvetica 18.
We can apply other formatting options to the text. We can choose to have all the text bold by clicking bold.

We can also change the color of the font by clicking the text color option.
Select one of the colors available from the color palette.

The preview text will provide a sample of what the text looks like with the changes. When you've finished making changes, click the save button.
A please wait message will appear for a few seconds while the changes are saved.

Click the return button to return to Outlook.
Click the new mail button to write a new message.

In this example I chose a large blue font. This was for demonstration purposes only. I highly recommend you use a smaller font size like 12 or 14 point. I also recommend you keep the text color set to black or dark grey. These options are easier to read on a white background and look more professional.
