Pottery is a special and hard skill, it takes a lot of time to make any clay object and baking is one of the most riskiest businesses. In each baking the potters lose almost 1/4th of their yeild which is not only financially but emotionally draining loss.

Through the eye of wabi sabi, there is a tradition of filling the cracks of broken pots with gold which makes it even more valuable than its original value.
