Elephant Capture

This elephant was captured from an agricultural area in Hambantota where it was raiding crops and relocated to Lunugamvehera National Park. The elephant is sedated, tied with hemp ropes and gradually coaxed into a specially designed truck for transportation. The whole operation takes a lot of man power and is done with minimum stress to the animal.
