DIMEXATTITUDETROUSERS 2.0 NEXT-GEN WORK TROUSERS We here at Dimex wanted to introduce a companion to our popular 620 trousers the next-gen DimexAttitudetrousers. We wanted to update the material, making it more flexible, and update the fit. In other words, we wanted to design trousers that could be worn for work or just hanging around town.

FEEDBACK AND TESTING Designing new clothing starts with a need. We check the archives for customer feedback on similar types of clothing. In some cases, we might go back to the submitter of feedback for additional clarification or ask our retailers for their opinion. Then, we check to see what's on the market, because there is no point in making the same thing as everyone else. Next, we begin designing the models. Once the models have been approved, we move on to the sample phase. First, we make a prototype, which we fit and trial with the model sets. If the sample is made of a new material, we subject the fabric and finished product to wash tests. When the model has been approved in the model set, the next step is to test it in use. The new DimexAttitudetrousers were also comprehensively tested prior to production. Testing provides us with crucial end user feedback and tells us what changes need to be made before bringing the product to market.

ur DimexAttitudetrousers have been our mostsold product for years, but even the best products can get suggestions for improvement. Customers wanted the fabric to hold up better in the wash and they wanted narrower pant legs. After making these changes, we would've ended up with entirely new trousers, so we decided to design something entirely new. We still wanted to keep all the good old features that made the DimexAttitudetrousers a worksite superstar for so many years.

WASHING AND TAKING CARE YOUR WORK CLOTHES Properly washing and caring for your work clothes helps retain their features longer. Messy or worn-out work clothes look unclean and may even lose their protective qualities or visibility. Do as follows: • Wash the clothes when necessary. Dirt wears fabric out faster than washing.

• Do not use bar or liquid soap when cleaning flame retardant clothing. • Rinse carefully.

• Close the Velcro straps, snap fasteners and zippers before washing. • Do not wash full loads (fill the machine only to 60–80 % of the capacity). This way, you can minimise possible damage caused by wrinkling or abrasion, and the clothes get cleaner.

• Drying the clothes in the dryer for too long may shrink the clothes. Remove the clothes from the dryer while they are still a bit damp. • Generally wash at 60 °C.

• Always wash the EN-coded protective clothing separately, inside out. This enables the reflective tapes to stay reflective longer.

• The following items require washing at 40 °C: 648, 688, 688R, 860, 6039, 6051, 6059, 6062, 6064, 6066, 6067, 18121, children's products and a part of the Dimex+ items.

• Avoid soaking clothing items with reflective tapes.

• Always follow the washing instructions marked in the labels.

• Do not use steam when ironing reflective tapes.

• Keep the clothes on hangers and, if possible, away from sunlight.

• Keep flame retardant clothing clean.
