THE timeKILLER Triathlon and time trialing test the rider and the bike to the extreme. In the fight against time you need all the help that modern technology can provide. This is why we have challenged ourselves to develop a new speed machine that combines sublime aerodynamics with efficient power transfer. Our ONE-frame is approved in accordance with the latest UCI-criteria and is therefore the perfect choice for road racers and triathletes looking for the ultimate weapon in the fight to gain the invaluable seconds that separate winners from losers. TECHNOLOGY: - C24T carbon frame. - 2nd generation UCI approved. - Newly developed aerodynamic TT-fork. - New aerodynamic C30T carbon headtube. - Aerodynamic seat tube and seatstays minimize turbulence. - 2360 gram frameset (seatpost included). - Superior headtube stiffness gives sublime stability . - Superior bottom bracket stiffness provides maximum power transfer. - Adjustable Aerodynamic seatpost allows the rider to choose the perfect position. - Internal cable routing provides an elegant look and ensures optimal aerodynamics. Principia decided to develop one of the most advanced forks on the market. A fork with the best balance between weight, horizontal stiffness and comfort in relation to vertical shocks from the road. After several hundred hours in the laboratory, we are proud to present the FLOW. TECHNOLOGY: - Full Monocoque Carbon. - NEW carbon lay up process based on advanced computer calculated stress simulations. - Ovalised stem at the fork crown, that tapers from 1 1/2 inches at the bottom to 1 1/8 inches at the top, ensures superior handling. - Narrower fork blades offer increased vertical compliance, improved shock absorption – in short: more comfort. - Lateral stiffness is maintained. - At 320 grams it is the lightest fork ever developed by Principia. As a cyclist, you want a fork that can deal with all the challenges the road has to offer. The new FLOW fork unites the three most important requirements: low weight, lateral stiffness, and comfort. The FLOW gives you the optimum balance between stability on fast descends and during hard acceleration while offering great comfort and control on uneven roads. It was our goal to develop a rear dropout that combined the precision and stiffness of an integrated design with replaceability in case of an accident. Principia’s unique and patented rear derailleur hanger is one of the most advanced on the market. TECHNOLOGY: • 7005-aluminium for extra long life. • Ultra low weight: 15-grams. • Large contact surface with the frame improves gear change performance. • Optimum stiffness from four, multidirectional fixing bolts. • Available in five different colours to match individual preferences. Most cyclists agree that a precise gear change is vital for the ride experience. What fewer cyclists realise is that the precision of the gear change is determined by the design and stiffness of the rear derailleur hanger. On your Principia, you will experience the gear changing performance of a fixed rear dropout from our replaceable design. The rear triangle transmits your pedal strokes to the rear wheel. As the first manufacturer in the world, Principia has developed a technology that allows us to construct this part of the frame in one piece. Our monocoque design saves weight and increases stiffness compared with traditional tube-to-tube technology. TECHNOLOGY: • Weaved Principia Carbon with a tensile strength of up to 40 tonnes per cm2 (C40T). • The absence of joints between seattube, chainstays, and seatstays results in a much stronger frame. • The weight is reduced and the comfort increased through clever use of directional carbon fibres. Remaining models use 68 mm cranks with BSA threading (1.37” x 24 TPI). SUSPENSION FORKS: The frame geometry on all mountainbike frames is designed for forks with 80-100 mm of travel. The use of forks that do not fall into this category will compromise the handling.

ELLIPSE The latest generation of Principia’s trademark elliptical bottom bracket and head tube design. The increased diameter of the idsection of the tubes adds rigidity and strength without increasing weight. The ELLIPSE PROJECT gives you more efficient power transfer and more control when it counts.
CARbon Friendly seat tube arbon seat posts are generally light and strong but can be fragile when fitted incorrectly. The pressure that the seat post is subjected to when tightening the seat clamp can be critical and even structurally fatal. Principia’s unique CARBON FRIENDLY SEAT TUBE gently distributes the pressure load over a larger area of the seat post. This clever design feature is safer for both you and your seat post.
DESIGN 2 SIZE Traditional frame design uses tubing with identical diameters and wall thicknesses for all frame sizes. Either this makes the smaller frame sizes too heavy or the larger frame sizes insufficiently strong and stiff. Principia’s DESIGN 2 SIZE technology optimizes the tubing specifications for the individual frame sizes ensuring optimum riding characteristics for riders of all sizes.
TUBE INSERTED WELDING 2 This technology is an invisible stroke of genius that takes the TiW technology one step further by letting one tube penetrate another completely, rather than just placing the two closely together. This allows for smaller tolerances, superior welds and lower weight – all at the same time. TUBE INSERTED WELDING 2 is used to your advantage where the head tube joins the top tube and where the seat tube joins the bottom bracket.
WEAVED PRINCIPIA CARBON Principia’s proprietary carbon technology combines first class carbon filaments with a newly developed layup technique. WPC technology allows maximum control of the direction of the fibres enabling us to carefully finetune key properties such as stiffness, strength and comfort. WEAVED PRINCIPIA CARBON exclusively uses Mitsubishi filaments with tensile strenghts ranging from 12 (C12T) to 40 (C40T) tonnes per square centimetre.
FLOW Based on advanced computer calculated stress simulations Principia succeeded in developing a brand new carbon lay up for the FLOW fork. The new fork is designed to unite the three most important requirements: low weight, lateral stiffness, and comfort. Narrower fork blades and an ovalised stem offer increased vertical compliance and improved shock absorption while maintaining lateral stiffness. At 320 grams it is the lightest fork ever developed by Principia.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Principia’s INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING allows the gear cables to disappear discretely into the head tube giving the frame a unique, streamlined appearance while ensuring that the cables are protected from dirt and grime at the same time. Principia ICR has a completely sealed liner from entry to exit for easy maintenance and wire replacement.
SX GEOMETRY Principia’s SX GEOMETRY adapts the slope of the top tube to the individual frame sizes adding more slope to the smaller frame sizes and less slope to the larger frame sizes. This means that tall riders do not have to use long seat posts that are structurally weak and unaesthetical.
PRINCIPIA DIET PROCESS Unique weight reduction process that removes material evenly from the entire frame after the frame is welded without any reduction in frame stiffness and strength. The PRINCIPIA DIET PROCESS is a farewell to excess weight and a hello to a new generation of aluminium frames.
INTEGRATED SHIFTING PRECISION Imagine a replaceable rear derailleur hanger that allows you to shift gears with the precision and reliability of a fixed non-replaceable rear derailleur hanger. The INTEGRATED SHIFTING PRECISION derailleur hanger is a unique Principia feature which combines the precision and rigidity of a fixed derailleur mount dropout with replaceability. INTEGRATED SHIFTING PRECISION is featured on all Principia models.
XC GEOMETRY This is the mountainbike frame geometry that best allows you to utilize all your power on the climbs without compromising stability and control on tricky descends. The XC GEOMETRY carries on the acclaimed Principia handling properties that gives you superior speed resources – whether you ride to win or just for fun.
PRINCIPIA MAGNUM ALUMINIUM The latest generation of Principia’s acclaimed aluminium technology with conified and triple butted aluminium tubing; made from a newly developed alloy with improved comfort properties that set a completely new standard for aluminium frame tubing. After the TIG welding the PRINCIPIA MAGNUM ALUMINIUM frames go through an advanced multi-stage heat treatment process for maximum strength and stiffness.
PRINCIPIA MONOCOQUE TRIANGLE With the newly developed mountainbikespecific carbon technology, Principia Monocoque Triangle, the rear triangle of the frame is a true monocoque construction made of 100% carbon fibre. Based on the proprietary Weaved Principia Carbon technology PMT sets new standards for weight, stiffness and strenght.
