Board of Governors

Over the last few months there have been a number of changes to the Dio Board of Governors.

At the December meeting, the Board farewelled Angela Anderson and Clare Barrie. Angela had been on the Board for seven and a half years, and during that time was also Chair of the Heritage Foundation. Clare had been on the Board for four and a half years and played an important part in the stewardship of the School’s Special Character and Anglican tradition. At the meeting in February this year, the Board also said farewell to Rose Stanhope who had been on the Board for three years. Angela, Clare and Rose have each made very valuable contributions to the Board. They have been enthusiastic and passionate supporters of the School and have added materially to the discussion, debate and strategy. The Board wishes them all the best for their next challenges.

Laurent Kinet joined the Board in August 2018. Laurent is a partner at McKinsey & Company and has a Master’s degree in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique and a Masters in Finance from Solvay Business School in Brussels. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Laurent and his wife Diane have a daughter at the School.

David Gibson joined the Board in December 2018. Until recently, David led the investment banking team at Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Craigs in New Zealand. David has over 20 years’ investment banking experience. David and his wife Pip Greenwood have two daughters at the School.
