It is with mixed emotions, that I formally announce that Marsha Stenzel, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, will be retiring effective July 1, 2022. Marsha began her role with the Diocese on July 1, 2011, after serving St. Felix Catholic School in Wabasha for 30 years, first as a teacher and eventually as School Administrator. In addition to earning both a Masters and Specialist degrees in education while at St. Felix, she also had many accomplishments during her 11 years as Superintendent. These included, namely, leading the review and upgrading of our curriculum for all our diocesan Catholic schools, integrating consistent standards for our various school boards and committees, and helping all our schools weather the many challenges brought about by the on-going pandemic.
