Connect your iPad to the computer Once connected, you will get an interface that gives you two options: ‘Recover from iOS Device’ and ‘Recover from iTunes Backup file’ 2. Choose the ‘Recover from iOS Device’ option 3. Next, enter the DFU mode in preparation for scanning the iPad for all data To do this, hold the iPad and click the ‘Start’ button. Ensure that you press the ‘Power’ and ‘Home’ buttons simultaneously for ten seconds. After ten second, release the ‘Power’ button and keep holding the ‘Home’ button for a further ten seconds. The software will begin scanning the iPad. When the scan is ongoing- do not disconnect your iPad. Scanning brings up all the data on the drive, including undeleted files, which is available for preview on your screen. You can choose the specific data that you want to recover by checking on the available check boxes or just recover everything and sort through later. At the bottom of the screen, you can also choose to display only the deleted items. Once the scanning is complete, click on the ‘Recover’ button.
