NEW AMBASSADORS Four new ambassadors accredited to Hungary presented their credentials to Hungarian President János Áder at the Sándor Palace in the Buda Castle in April.

Evgeny Arnoldovich Stanislavov
(RUSSIAN FEDERATION) was born in 1960. Starting his diplomatic career in 1983, he has held various positions in his country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs since. In 2000–2004, he worked at the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations (in New York City) as a senior advisory diplomat. From 2005 to 2010, he was advisor to the UNICEF Branch for Central and Eastern Europe and CIS (in Geneva, Switzerland). Between 2010 and 2014, he acted as Senior Advisor to the UN and UNICEF Multilateral Affairs Division (in New York City). Then, from 2014 to 2021, he was Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow. Christo Stefanov Polendakov
(BULGARIA) was born in 1970. He conducted studies in the International School in Tehran, Iran and received an M.A. degree at the State Institute for International Relations in Moscow, Russia. He joined his country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994 and has been serving his country mostly at foreign posts in the past 25 years, first in the Norwegian capital, Oslo (1996-1999), followed by work of representation at the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and other international organizations with headquarters in Vienna, Austria. Between 2015 and 2019, he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Juan Carlos Ojeda Viglione
(URUGUAY) was born in 1958. Residing in Vienna, he is also the main representative of his country in Austria and Permanent Representative to several International Organizations in Vienna like the IAEA) or the UNIDO, among others. He has a Degree in Diplomacy from the Universidad de la Republica (Montevideo, Uruguay) where he also studied law. He joined the Foreign Service of his country as Third Secretary in 1982. His first foreign posting was in Cairo, Egypt (1985-1991). Later, he also served in various positions in Japan, the Dominican Republic and Israel. Between 2011 and 2016, he was Ambassador to Iran while also accredited to Pakistan and Armenia. Komi Bayédze Dagoh (TOGO) was
born in 1956. He received an M.A. degree in law at the University of Benin in Lomé in 1982, followed by graduation from the International Institute of Public Administration (IIAP) in Paris in 1987 and received a Degree of Specialized Studies in Diplomacy from the University of Paris-Sud, Paris the same year. He began working for his country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in 1983. In 1988-1990, he worked as secretary at the Embassy of Togo in Brussels, Belgium. Following different position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in Lomé, he was appointed in 2017as his country’s Ambassador in Berlin, Germany where he also resides as Ambassador to Hungary.
