Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. In the year 2000, Boone was honored with the Walt Disney production of "Remember the Titans," starring Denzel Washington. He coached high school football in Virginia and North Carolina and was subject to controversy when he accepted the head coaching job at T. C. Williams High School. Retired from coaching, Boone currently enjoys a career as a public speaker at functions regarding his time as a high school football coach. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which is a game between high school AllAmerican seniors from the East and West side of the country, has an award named after him, The Herman Boone Trophy, given to the team who wins the game. He currently lives with his wife Carol in Alexandria, Virginia. They have three children and three grandchildren.
