Design Print Distribution Group goes even greener with tree-planting scheme

We’re thrilled at Design Print Distribution Group to be boosting our green credentials by branching out into tree planting and tree care to support a forest charity.

The team here in Bristol already use recycled or sustainably and ethically sourced paper and ink for our leaflets and flyers. Now we are going a step further by supporting Forest of Avon Trust, which promotes, plants and cares for trees and woodlands throughout the Forest of Avon area, in and around Bristol and Avon.

Helping the community in and around Bristol

We’re funding the planting and care of local trees for every ongoing client we take on, which could add up to 100 newly planted trees a year.

“We already support the community, by sponsoring some local football and cricket teams, and Bristol Pantomime Productions theatre group,” says our Managing Director Mike Ethridge.

“We were looking to do something with more of an environmental focus, because when people think about leafleting, they think about the use of paper.

We always use paper from a sustainable source, or it is recycled, and our print is also sustainable and ethically sourced. Indeed The Green Party is one of our clients. But we wanted to do more, and supporting Forest of Avon Trust is perfect, as it is a local charity and is all about the environment.”

We have already made our first donation and the first ten trees will be planted and cared for in local woodlands from November 2020, on behalf of our clients. These clients include Bath Stone estate agents, Bristol-based garden rooms designer Cedar Spaces and JPM Beds of Exeter.
