FOUR CLOSED PUBS IN BEDMINSTER IS SET TO REOPEN
Good news for Bedminster residents! After a few weeks of closure, London Inn pub is gonna be back in business on April 14th. Just last weekend, one of the Bedminster’s four pubs reopened after suddenly closing last month...and now it’s time for London Inn to fire up the grill! We can’t wait for Friday - come get your grub and drinks on at this local joint!
On March 29, the London Inn, Albert Lounge, Black Cat and Tap & Barrel – all pubs within 200 meters of the heart of Bedminster – suddenly closed when the licensee for all four pubs said she could come along getting stuck prices and bills and the cost of living crisis.

All four bars are owned by the same person who rented all four to the same businesswoman. Now it is hoped that each lease will be taken over individually – and that seems to be happening gradually.
Last week, Darren and Caroline Godfrey announced they had taken over the lease on West Street’s Black Cat, with local couple Mark and Katie Whiteman taking over management of the pub. The pub officially reopened on Good Friday 7th April and enjoyed a busy Easter weekend.
Now the London Inn has announced that it will open this Friday. A statement on the pub’s social media read:
“Great news – we will be reopening on Friday 14 April. We will have live singers on Fridays, karaoke on Saturdays and Sundays and bingo on Tuesdays. We will also be hosting quiz nights and BBQs. I hope you all stand behind us and support us in this new venture. We hope to see many locals and also new faces.”
