THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT The project “TANARIA liberaMente” is based on three main ASSETS which are dictated and almost imposed by its history: the river, the railway and the road. Apart from that there are all the areas which gravitate towards the river Tanaro. The dominating thought in the lay-out of the project was its final aim, which may seen very ambitious but has instead a great force and power for the touristic involved and it could become an example for whole Italy. Following the river with a cycling lane and a pedestrian path can attract many tourists in these areas: we are talking of 280 kilometres of river from Alessandria to Ponte di Nava. The river crosses landscapes that are already now a tourist destination, without forgetting that the waters of the Tanaro are flowing through the hilly zone of the ʻLangheʼ, a unique Unesco heritage, and share with it its life, its history and its products. Leave your daily routine in Ceva (and forget about your car too) and get on the train of your dreams.
ASSETS The 驶ASSETS始 that have the priority are: SPORTS TOURISM (in exponential growth since 1996 and without a year of decline), FOOD AND WINE (which is intertwined with farmlife, typical products and hospitality), CULTURE (which has very interesting things to offer, both from the past and present), SPIRITUALITY (that could be developed in an surprising way, given the large number of chapels and churches scattered throughout the area. Routes may be created that combine pilgrimages with nature tourism).

THE TIPICALITY OF AN AREA: ITS PRODUCTS REVERSE THE TRENDS. NO LONGER WILL THE GOODS BE TRANSPORTED TO THE CITY AND THE MARKETS. IT WILL BE THE CONSUMERS WHO WILL MOVE TO THE PRODUCTS AND WHO WILL HAVE THE POSSIBILITY TO TASTE AND BUY THE TYPICAL PRODUCTS OF THE AREA ON THE SPOT THERE IS A DOUBLE ADVANTAGE. THE PRODUCER WILL RECEIVE A FAIR PAY FOR HIS LABOURS AND THE BUYER CAN ASCERTAIN THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS PERSONALLY AND BUY THEM AT MORE COMPETITIVE PRICES.
The area we are talking about TOURISTIC OFFER THAT ALREADY EXISTS, A GEOGRAPHICAL POSITION THAT ALLOWS YOU TO REACH THE BEACHES OF LIGURIA WITHIN 25 MINUTES BY CAR AND STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE COOLNESS OF OUR HILLS. OR MAYBE YOU PREFER TO STAY NEAR THE FORESTS OR IN THE ALPINE HUTS IN THE MOUNTAINS. IN THE WINTER YOU CAN GO WALKING WITH SNOWSHOES OR SKI IN THE MOUNTIAINS USING THE SKI PLANTS THAT LIE AT A DISTANCE OF ABOUT 15 TO 30 MINUTES BY CAR.
