Geico Honda Team Shuts Down

Geico Honda’s Supercross and Outdoor Motocross Team has shut down operations. The announcement comes as the AMA Outdoor season comes to an end.

The team released the following statement: “We definitely didn’t see this announcement coming and the term, “all good things must come to an end”, just doesn’t seem fitting. After 22 years and 12 championships, we were forced to make the decision of closing down our race team. We were thrown a curve ball in August by losing our title sponsor. We have worked tirelessly to try and find a replacement but given this unpredictable year, we ran out of time to get something put together. We would like to thank our staff and riders for being as understanding as they can be in this situation. Being forced to close our team doesn’t mean we lose the family we created and no matter where our next chapters take us, our bond will not be broke. Thank you to every team member, rider and

3-Phased Opening for Oceano Dunes

California State Parks is opening the Oceano Dunes near Pismo Beach in a 3-phased opening. The dunes have been closed to vehicular traffic since March due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In Phase 1, street legal vehicles will be allowed to use the dunes during Day use hours. There will be a 1,000-vehicle limit. Green sticker vehicles and camping will only be allowed in phase 2. Spots will be limited. Inventory will expand in Phase 3 in alignment with state health orders. Phase-1 opening began on October 31st. Phase 2 and 3 opening dates have not been announced. their families who have come through our operation- we truly could not have done it without you.
