DIS - Design Italian Shoes - is the custom-made shoe brand which modernizes the Italian excellent craftsmanship by the use of cutting-edge technology: DIS means tradition, innovation and Made in Italy. The production is made in Marche region, inside traditional workshops having over 40 years of experience, where the know-how of the master craftsmen is thoroughly treasured and passed on from one generation to another: long-standing family-owned manufacturer that has been shaping the so-called “shoe valley” network, the Made in Italy footwear district which is our worldwide pride for shoes manufacturing. Thanks to DIS the antique manufacturing process evolves in order to go along with the current needs: the customer becomes the real protagonist of the artisanal production process, which is enhanced by the digital personalizaThrough the photorealistic renderings, the customer’s imagination turns into reality and is translated into fully customizable shoes, as unique as the personality of the customer who designed it.

STORY OF DIS: THE FIRST STEP DIS is a brainchild: it’s the clear perception about the needs of breaking the old marketing patterns, rethinking the artisanal shoe production process and supplying the shoe manufacturing and retail sectors with innovative solutions, while preserving the exclusive high quality which is Made in Italy signature. DIS company was born in 2015 when brothers Andrea and Francesco Carpineti met Michele Luconi, new technologies expert: the traditional soul merge with the technological one and the wish of boosting the Italian craftsmanship through digital innovation becomes a true project about the modern rearrangement of the purchase method. Nowadays DIS is becoming international, distributed in several premium shops and tailored stores across Europe, US, China and Japan.

MADE IN ITALY AND SUSTAINABILITY: THE ARTISANAL PRODUCTION DIS carefully focuses on a continuous production process improvement: we track the whole supply chain, we pick top quality raw materials from selected Italian suppliers and we innovate the process itself by combining cutting-edge technologies with tradition, in order to simplify complex operations and make them sustainable. The entire production is handmade. Each pair of shoes is assembled by master craftsmen following consumer’s requirements, exclusively for each different customer. Technology and craftsmanship blend together in order to offer an innovative made-to-order service, closing the gap between customers and artisans: thanks to the picture-like rendering of the required shoes, throughout all the several production steps the attention is carefully focused on every subtle detail so that a work of art is created.

D FOR DIS, D FOR DESIGN: THE AUTHENTIC INSPIRATION DIS means past, present and future. A careful research is carried out to recover historical style models, typical and distinctive designs which made the Made in Italy stand out worldwide. Classic, evergreen models characterizing the style and personality of the most icoaccording to the contemporary aesthetic tastes. A great research is also done for materials, which have to keep the quality standard high for every leather and hide, as well as for the rubber sole lightness (natural rubber or Eva, the new generation super light and resistant sole) and for our prints and exclusive patterns, that are what really makes DIS shoes stand out. When creating a new collection we take inspiration also from nature: natural elements colors bond harmoniously with shoes’ leather shades. The design always starts from the lines traced on the last, that are then made 3D using the computer rendering software, in order to originate a virtual shoe alter ego, faithful in every inch to the real model.
