YOUR NEXT WATERFRONT THE CHARLOTTETOWN WATERFRONT

Upon arrival in Charlottetown, it won’t be long until you’re drawn toward the waterfront—home to the beloved Peake’s Quay and a series of connected marinas, all with their own distinct scenery and appeal. From the calm of the harbour and the abundance of food options, to the salty breeze and the selection of locally made goodies, this area has everything you need to enjoy a day by the water.

CLASSIC CANUCK TREATS - You’ll quickly find out how much we love our sweet and savoury treats! A hot day calls for a scoop of the Island’s world-famous COWS ice cream or Billy Timber's giant cone. Don’t skip the chance to try a deep-fried pastry from Beavertails either. For a quintessential Island dish, order up fresh, hand-cut PEI fries from Taters or The Chip Shack, or drop by Dave’s Lobster for a classic lobster roll.

MUSIC LOVERS - Check out the Peake’s Wharf Summer Concert Series where you can have your spirits lifted to the sounds of talented local musicians (daily July - Sept). Bring a blanket and soak up a leisurely afternoon in the sunshine, or simply enjoy the background music as you peruse the various shops. Live music is also featured most days at the various waterside restos.

SHOPPER'S DELIGHT - From handcrafted jewellery to Island pottery to stunning pieces of art, the waterfront is the perfect place to find a unique PEI keepsake or gift. Several merchants also offer beach gear, funky clothing, and other accessories that complement the laid-back style of Island living.

LIFE'S BETTER ON A BOAT - The marinas offer refreshing water views and are also a hub for boat tours that take you onto the historic Hillsborough River. Try your hand at lobster fishing with Top Notch Charters or head out seal watching with Peake's Wharf Boat Tours. Want to get in touch with your eco side? Try out Sol Paddle Tavern or Ride Solar. Fancy a sail? Saga Sailing Adventures will make all your sailing dreams come true.

PARTY ON THE WHARF - As the sun sets, the party vibes amp up at Peake’s Quay Restaurant and Bar. With an expansive deck overlooking the harbour, great tunes, and a tasty appetizer & dinner menu, it’s a great spot to enjoy Happy Hour. Nearby Nimrods’ Floating Pizza Bar is known for its killer nighttime vibe and hosts live music and trivia nights. Brakish is also a great place for live music and playing lawn games under the afternoon sun. Salt & Sol and The Cork & Cast are favourite lounging spots as well, both with a primo view and delicious eats.
