Hummingbird Hypnotherapy – Getting ready for the new normal

Getting Ready for the “New Normal” with Hummingbird Hypnotherapy

Things are beginning

to change. As the UK begins its reopening plans to get our economy back on its feet, there appears to be far more that we need to begin to think about.

Remember March 2020 seems an age away; those moments of fear we all had about the coming months and being locked in our homes. The change that happened during this time has been immense.

Businesses closed or furloughed staff, schools closed, daily shopping becoming a weekly occurrence and definitely not a family outing! There appeared home schooling and juggling working from home. In the beginning, there was so much to manage and adjust to, but we all did both - managed and adjusted to our new way of life.

July 2020, and that change has returned; the process whereby we are all confused as to what is actually happening, other than ‘garden socialising’ being the ‘new thing of the year’! Some schools return, others don’t. Some businesses can open, others can’t. Is it any wonder that things have been overwhelming, anxious, fearful and, at times, emotional? Add to the recipe the further ingredients… judgement, opinions, racism, consistent negative news feeds and a bundle of anger – potential brain overload at its finest! So, how are you feeling about this transition? “New Normal” as it has been named. A time to do what is best for you and your family. A time to stay safe, stay alert, don’t go out, do go out, go to work, or don’t! This is a time for personal strength, a time to reunite and share positive support. If you don’t agree with someone else and their decision, remember that’s fine; it’s not yours. Leave your judgement at the door and be happy with your own decisions. If nothing else, this year has taught me that even in our own homes with limited face-to-face contact with friends other than

via a screen, supporting each other is the way forward. In business, in choices, in your trips to the beach. Share your wins, be grateful that you’re safe, carry on being kind and smiling…. please keep smiling. We have all managed this in our own way and have started to come out on the other side, so let’s build each other up and restore each other with faith and kindness. I will have access to my office again after July 4th which I am really looking forward to - ready to deep clean and set up for social-distanced sessions.

Hummingbird Hypnotherapy will be offering evening appointments from 6pm to 9pm online, Monday to Friday. I am also preparing for face-toface sessions, as soon as I am allowed to. Please keep posted for updates. Nicole

THE NEXT STEPS!

My priority is for the safety and well-being of my patients, also I need to look after myself! With this in mind, and following the advice from the College of Foot Health Practitioners and my insurance company, I am happy to see patients in their homes, with the following procedures in place:

■ Safe distancing: I will ask you to open the door and then I will wait until you are seated in your preferred chair so that I can work around you. ■ Personal protective equipment (PPE): I will have all the necessary protective gear including a face mask. You can wear a mask if you want to. I’m ready when you are!”

DEEP-IN AESTHETICS: Botox Parties - Fun Evening Or Dangerous Hobby? WE ARE REOPENING ON 4TH JULY

Latest news from Deep-in Aesthetics’ Julie Higgins:

We have received many five-star reviews from our clients who have remarked on our professionalism and service. Megan, for instance, wrote in February 2020, “I cannot recommend enough, so knowledgeable, friendly and just lovely. A relaxed experience/environment.”

Unfortunately, however, we have also heard from new clients about their negative experiences elsewhere with ‘so-called professionals’ in this field. Sadly, not everyone seems to give this ‘medical procedure’ the seriousness it deserves.

Although unregulated, common sense dictates there is only one environment where you should have Botox and dermal filler injections, and that is in a licensed clinic.

There have been many disaster stories, especially within the last three years, of women holding parties where these procedures are undertaken. Unfortunately, these events are organised as a cheaper option and inevitably lead to poor decisions being

made under the influence of alcohol, which also can lead to complications when combined with the products and procedures themselves. These parties are often carried out by individuals who do not have the requisite training in aesthetics and, as mobile practitioners, can be difficult to contact post-treatment, in the event of a problem. At the end of the day, your face is the canvas that you present to the world on a daily basis, be it at work or in a social setting. Would you risk this with an untrained individual for the sake of a few pounds and a free glass of Prosecco? The ability to make clear, informed, uninfluenced decisions whilst consuming alcohol is hardly a sensible step! We are proud to be able to say that we always maintain the highest of standards in our work, and have helped clients to rectify their problems, which has allowed them to leave our clinic with renewed confidence. In the words of Valerie, another very satisfied client commenting recently, “Absolutely thrilled with my treatments today – made to feel very comfortable from the start to the finish.”

We were selected and authorised to be the only aesthetics company to advertise within the two main hospitals in Peterborough and Stamford. This again is recognition of how we see ourselves above and beyond other clinics.
