Alba Chiara noleggi, il cui nome è chiaramente un omaggio alla celebre canzone di Vasco Rossi, di cui Sandro, titolare del negozio dal 2001, è un grande fan, offre la possibilità di noleggiare moto, scooter e vespe per visitare la città senza l’ansia di trovare un parcheggio! Il logo dell’azienda? Un simpaticissimo triciclo realizzato dal writer Davide Comelli, artista conosciuto in città anche per aver realizzato degli importanti murales, dalle “Case dei Puffi” a Borgo San Sergio al complesso Ater a Ponziana.

“Pensare che è iniziato tutto per gioco” ci racconta Sandro. “Avevo la mia Vespa rossa PX200 che prestavo agli amici che dovevano fare la patente e avevano bisogno di un mezzo. Poi, un giorno, anziché ricevere in cambio una pizza o un rebechin (la merenda in triestino), una persona mi ha messo 100 mila lire nella tasca della giacca. Così ho messo l’annuncio su Il Mercatino, magazine locale, e nel giro di una settimana ho ricevuto le telefonate di 15-20 persone. A quel punto mi sono detto, perché non aprire un noleggio?”

scegliere un mezzo pratico per visitare Trieste, la nostra Regione, e le città oltre confine.

La richiesta aumenta soprattutto d’estate, da giugno a settembre e da qui l’esigenza e la voglia di crescere e aprire una nuova sede vicino alla stazione ferroviaria. Un’apertura prevista in tarda primavera che, nello spazio di 100mq, fornirà il consueto servizio di noleggio scooter, moto e vespe di quasi tutte le cilindrate nonché e-bike vista la vicinanza con la ciclabile che porta sia al Castello di Miramare che in centro città.

C’è stato un periodo in cui Sandro avrebbe voluto mollare ma poi ha continuato felice del ruolo che aveva intrapreso: fornire un servizio alternativo ai turisti per visitare il territorio, aiutarli a scoprire le strade più belle da percorrere, suggerire i luoghi, gli angoli nascosti e gli itinerari per vivere la città da “triestini doc”.

Perché da Alba Chiara non si noleggia solamente un mezzo per spostarsi lungo le vie di Trieste ma si incontrano persone ambasciatrici della triestinità che ti consiglieranno dove scoprire l’anima di Trieste.

It could only start like this, with the words by Italian singer Cesare Cremonini and his song “50 special” which echoes that carefree and light feeling of going “around with wings under your feet” to discover Trieste, from the sea to the Karst!

Alba Chiara rentals, whose name is clearly a tribute to the famous song by Vasco Rossi, of whom Sandro, owner of the shop since 2001, is a big fan, offers the possibility of renting motorbikes, scooters and vespas to visit the city without the anxiety of finding a parking space! The company logo? A very nice tricycle created by writer Davide Comelli, an artist known in the city also for having created important murals, from the “Case dei Puffi” in Borgo San Sergio to the Ater complex in Ponziana.

“To think that it all started as a game,” Sandro tells us. “I had my red Vespa PX200 that I used to lend to friends who needed a driving licence. Then, one day, instead of receiving a pizza or a ‘rebechin’ [a snack in Trieste] in exchange, a person put 100,000 Lire in my jacket pocket. So I put an ad in Il Mercatino, a local magazine, and within a week I had 15-20 people calling me. At that point I thought, why not open a rental shop? That’s how the adventure began: offering a rental service for private driving licences. It has continued for 21 years, renting out two-wheelers to thousands and thousands of people, not only from Trieste, but also to many tourists, who are happy to choose a practical means of transport to visit Trieste, our Region, and cities across the border.

Demand increases especially in the summer, from June to September, hence the need and desire to grow and open a new office near the railway station. The opening is planned for late spring and a space of 100 square metres will offer the usual scooter, motorbike and Vespa rental service of almost any type, as well as e-bikes, thanks to the proximity of the cycle path leading both to Miramare Castle and to the city centre.

There was a time when Sandro would have given up, but then he carried on, happy with the job he had begun: providing an alternative service for tourists to visit the area, helping them to discover the most beautiful roads to take, suggesting places, hidden corners and itineraries for experiencing the city as “true citizens of Trieste”.
