Hi this is Disha, I have always been curious and a passionate learner. The concept of interaction between human and spaces has always fascinated me. The influence of architecture on building and developing human experience has always been my keen interest. I’m always trying to analyze, observe and learn on what can be different aspects contributing to creating better spaces that could speak volumes. i’m also very much intrested about philosophical aspect of architecture. CIRCULATION PLAN

LOCATION: THE RIVERFRONT STRECH OF MANDOVI RIVER, NEAR RIBENDER. PROJECT TYPE: LARGE SCALE HOUSING THIS HOUSING PROJECT MAINLY FOCUSES ON THE IDEA OF COMMUNITY LIVING WHERE PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO IDENTIFY SPACES AS THEIR COMMUNITY BELONGING BUT AT THE SAME TIME HAVE THE PRIVILAGE TO ENJOY THE PRIVACY. IN THIS PROJECT THE MAJORITY OF CONCERN IS REGARDING THE EASE OF CONNECTIVITY AND PRIVACY WITH RESPECT TO THE SITE LANDFORM AND THE CONTEXT AROUND THE SITE HAVING A GOOD VIEW ALSO RISES. SO THE USAGE OF THE EXISTING SITE CONDITON TO THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL IS WHAT WAS THOUGHT OFF. THE SITE HAS BEEN DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT SPACES CATERING TO DIFFERENT REQUIERMENT INCLUDING RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND PRIVATE LIVING SPACES. THE 2 CLUSTERS CATERS TO DIFFERENT USER GROUPS WITH DIFFERENT APPROCHES. THE BUFFER ZONES WITH COMMUNITY SPACES CONNECT THE CLUSTERS. CIRCULATION THE VEHICULAR AXIS IS PERIPHERICAL LOOP SYSTEM WITH UNRISTRICTED INTERNAL PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT. THE MOVEMENT IS DESIGNED IN A WAY WHERE THERE IS UNRESTRICTED CONTINOUS MOVEMENT. OPEN SPACES HERARCHY OF SPACES IN TERMS OF ACTIVITIES, SIZES AND NATURE OF THE OPEN SPACE. THERE ARE DIFFERENT ACTIVITES FROM COMMON COMMUNITY TO A SMALL KNIT NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMEN SPACE. LIG HOUSING TYPOLOGY: UNIT TYPE 2 BUILT UP AREA: 150 SQM

THE HOUSING TYPOLOGY ARE DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT TYPES BASED ON DIFFERENT WORKING STATUS. AS THE REQUIERMENT OF THE LIVING DEMOGARPHICS OF THE SITE. THE DIFFERENT TYPES ARE MENTIONED RANGING FROM EWS TO HIG COMMUNITY. THE SITE BEING NEAR THE MANDOVI RIVER THERE ARE DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES FROM FISHING COMMUNITY TO THE RECREATIONAL LIVING SPACE. HENCE THE CLUSTERS WERE DESIGNED IN A WAY TO CATER TO THESE DIVISON BASED ON SITE. TO EASE OUT THE WORKING CONDITION TOO.

UNDERSTANDING SITE THE STUDIO INCLUDED THE IDEA OF URBAN STITCH ACROSS THE AREAS OF MALLESHWARAM, CHICKPETE AND KR MARKET OF BANGALORE CITY. WITH VARIOUS URBAN LAYERS IDENTIFICATION THE SELECTED REGION FOR THE PROJECT WAS K.R. MARKET REGION. WITH MORPHOLOGICAL, TANGIBLE AND INTANGIBLE ASPECT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EACH ZONES, IT WAS DESIARABLE FOR CONSIDERING THIS AREA AS REGION OF STUDY. THE ANALYTICAL MAPS HELP IN IDENTIFYING THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF SITE IN TERMS OF LANDMARKS, TYPES OF USERS BASED ON LAND USE, THE HIERARCHY OF OPEN SPACES IN THE SITE, THE MORPHOLOGICAL ASPECTS AND THE DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE REGION BASED ON IMMEDIATE CONTEXT AND SITE CONDITIONS.

ROAD TRANSFORMATION BASED OF INTENSITY BASED ON VEHICULAR MOVEMENT THE MAP SHOWS TRANSITION OF ROAD INTERMS OF USAGE, THE NODES MARKED DEFINES THE SPACES WHICH ARE HIGHLY PEDESTRIANISED HENCE DEFINING THE NATURE OF ROAD, RED MARKS LOW VEHICULAR MOVEMENT AND INCREASES WITH DECREASE IN SHADE.

ROAD BASED ON USER INTERFACE THE RED SHADE MARKS THE PEDESTRIAN USAGE, GREEN AND BLUE MARKS THE LIGHT AND HEAVY MOTAR VEHICULAR MOVEMENT RESPECTIVELY. HENCE DEMARKING THE SEAMLESS VEHICULAR MOVEMENT AND ROAD WISE CHARECTERISTIC.

IN K.R. MARKET SITE, THE DENSE MORPHOGY AND USER DENSITY HAS MADE THE MOBILITY OF THE AREA COMPLICATED EVEN AFTER THE PROVISION OF VARIOUS DIFFERENT MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. HENCE THE PROJECT IS TO UNDERSTAND, ANALYSE THE PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR ASPECT.

AGAIN BREAKING THE MONOTONY THERE ARE PATTERNS TO AMPLIFY THESE MATERIALS CREATING A PLAYFUL AND INTRESTING SPACE.

PROJECT TYPE: RESIDENTIAL PROJECT ADMIST THE URBAN SUBARBAN OF HUBLI CITY IS THE PROJECT WITH THE INTENT OF A CONTEMPORARY AND MINIMALIST APPROACH IN DESIGN. A SHARED VIEW OF EXPERMENTING WITH THE ARCHITECTURAL VOUCABULARY CREATED A MODERN INDIAB HOME WITH THE ANCESTRAL IDEA OF JOINT FAMILY SPACE USAGE YET WITH THE PRIVLAGE OF HAVING FREEDOM OF PRIVACY. EACH SPACE HAS A VISUAL CONNECTION WHICH CREATES A SENSE OF DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES IN EVERY POINT BUT STILL KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH THE ESENCE OF CONNECTIVITY. EACH LEVEL GIVES THE OPPORTUNITY OF DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE OF SPACES. AT THE SAME TIME BREAKING THE MONOTONOUS REPITATIVE IDEA OF TRANSITION, TWO SETS OF STAIRCASE ARE PROVIDE.
