Have a Seat! Richer Included on Métis Ride of Hope
The community of Richer will be able to welcome a historical ride as participants will make their way from Hadashville along the Dawson Trail with a stop at the Dawson Trail Park before finishing off the last leg of their journey.
Organizers Armand and Kelly Jerome started the ride back in 2020 and have decided now is the time to finish it.

“It is now our dream to complete one final Red River cart journey before ‘our’ saddles are hung and tools put aside,” wrote the Jerome’s in a statement, “and so for two years now we have been scouting trail and connecting with the people who have so generously donated there time, effort and fabulous input into the planning of this expedition.”
This year’s final leg of the ride will be raising funds in support of Ukrainian orphans.
There will be a fundraising kickoff at Sophie’s Restaurant in Hadashville.
The ride will be held over the May long weekend and finish in early June.
