The event, a Celebration of Life, was an entertainment filled day and attracted guests from all over the province.

From The Pastor’s Desk... The Waterfall
By Pastor Ben Funk
May I surmise that my readers are all familiar with a waterfall, small or great, spectacular or minuscule. I am always entertained by the less spectacular ones. Those that are located in more obscure places, hidden away from open view. One can hear the hollow sound of the falls from a distance as the water cascades down the rocks edge hidden in the timeless forest’s secrets. As one comes closer, one begins to hear the deafening roar of a spectacular waterfall. As one comes closer, you pause and watch as the water smoothly slides down like paper being shredded on the rocks. The trees around the falls grow to reach the heavens as the pillowy clouds started to hover over the area. The air is thick with anticipation. The trees are filled with life as they vacillate in the cool breeze. Splash!
All-of-a-sudden a fish frees itself from the water’s coat and splashes water all over the onlookers. As soon as one turns around to investigate, the fish is gone. The water tastes pure and fresh. The over spray from the falls feels cool to the face, as it slithered down the face, and drops onto the surface of the water to form a ripple.
Most of the rocks in the area of the waterfalls are covered with some slippery moss which tickles your bare feet. You are mesmerized by the view, you stand still like a statue as you take in the picturesque landscape. With this setting in mind I am convinced that Jesus offers this kind of refreshing water of life for our lives. The fresh water of His word refreshing our souls as we intentionally converse with Him in our lives. Like the seclud ed waterfall, Jesus frequented those places to have intentional conversation with Father. I invite you to take another look, He is delightful.
