Richer Hosts 2nd Annual High School Rodeo Employment Opportunity

The Richer Commuity Club Inc. in Richer is looking for an individual to work at the Richer Dawson Trail Park starting July 3, 2023. This position is made available with the support of the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

Young competitors and their families travelled from all over Manitoba along with a few from Saskatchewan camped out in Richer’s Dawson Trail Park in early May to participate in the community’s annual High School Rodeo.

Spectators were able to take in this free admission event and watch these developing cowboys and cowgirls compete.

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, you will take part in the following activities: cleanup and yard maintenance, painting, and assisting where needed with Community Club events.

Qualifications

• Must be between 15-29 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada and have a valid Child Employment Permit if 15 years of age.

• Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends as required

• Ability to produce a satisfactory Criminal Records and Child Abuse Registry Check

• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, and organized

• Ability to work independently and/or alongside others

• Ability to do physical labour

Assets

• Experience with garden and lawn tools including weed whackers

• Possession of a valid full stage Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License

• Knowledge of safe work practices

Wage: 15.50/hr and approximately 35 hours/wk for 8 weeks
