Happy Springtime in Pawnee!! Pawnee was selected as one of only six towns in Oklahoma to host the Smithsonian “Crossroads”: Museum on Main Street, Change in Rural America Exhibit. The exhibit is open Wednesday through Sunday at the Pawnee Bill Ranch located on Blue Hawk Peak in Pawnee Oklahoma. This is a wonderful depiction of the American people during the last 100 years. Depression times, World War times, the movement and transition from rural living to city dwelling. Included are wonderful photos of the Pawnee Nation peoples and their history as well as photos of Pawnee in the early 1900’s. Springtime on the Ranch brings new baby long horn calves and baby Bison. This past weekend the Pawnee Chamber of Commerce held the 93rd Annual Lions Easter Egg Hunt at Pawnee Bill Ranch. 5,000 candy eggs were scattered by the Easter bunny & helpers over the beautiful grounds of the Ranch. Gold and silver eggs had very special prizes for the lucky finders. Ages 1-12 are divided into groups, Pawnee Bill on his horse fires off the starting gun at exactly 10am & the mad dash begins!! All of this and more are great reasons to. PICK PAWNEE!!!
