Visit Stroud!

Summer is heating up and the Lake is the place to cool off! We have a lot of things going on at Stroud Lake. The Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association will again have their motocross races on August 26th and 27th of this month. This is one of the largest activities at the lake. The Oklahoma Hot Boat Association will have their boat races the weekend of September 9th and 10th. You will want to make plans to enjoy each of these events.

The staff is working on new parking lots on the East side and a new boat dock there. Hope to have that finished soon. We also received a grant for a new playground, water well, equestrian trails, and campsites with pens for horses. This is at the beginning construction phase and will start soon. The lake ranger and his help are doing an awesome job keeping the lake manicured and inviting. There is also a new addition at Hole one on the Disc Golf Course. Thanks to Preston Pit ts, Randy Adair, and Steve Hale for the new rock structure the Eagle will sit on. These guys are some of best at what they do. Leon Garner, County Commissioner of Creek County is working on a plan to finish the last mile of the Lake Road. Keep your fingers crossed that he could get it done.

School starts this week so remember to be careful in the school zones. A great big thank you to all the Teachers and school staff for what you do for our kids!
