SCARABEO KIKU LONTANO

Scarabeo is a jacquard velvet with a minute geometric motif traces a refined and iconic pattern. By masterfully combining the technical know-how of piece and yarn dyeing, this fabric acquires preciousness, also thanks to references to other periods of fashion and taste. Kiku is fabric defined by a highly symbolic floral motif whose protagonist is the chrysanthemum. In Japan this flower is historically associated with the Imperial family, as well as being a traditional motif of the “Obi” belts used to tie kimonos and ceremonial garments. The asymmetry of the pattern, in which the flowers are repeated in ever different compositions between the lines, creates a Japanese garden in the form of a jacquard. Lontano is a jacquard inspired by traditional Japanese “Obi” belts masterfully depicts wandering clouds. By combining four different weaves on a dense satin ground, the design combines graphic elements and delicate connotations in a carefree wandering spirit.
