Head of Creative Industries and Digital Media Sector, North America Department for International Trade The Department for International Trade (DIT) is delighted to be back at SXSW. We’re incredibly proud to showcase companies that represent the best of UK creativity and innovation. We hope you’ll get to know as many of them as possible.

2020’s unique challenges have only affirmed the creative sector’s enduring power to transport and connect us beyond our own four walls. From novel AR and VR technologies embedded in games, film and TV, to agencies that are shaping our relationships with our favourite brands – the UK companies on our 2021 trade mission are charting an ambitious path into the future.

DIT, along with several incredible partners, will host the 2021 British Music Embassy (BME) where we’ll present the best up-and-coming British musicians and bands. While we will not congregate in a physical space for beer and breakfast tacos, this year’s VR-enabled BME platform will show how immersive technologies enable us to experience an interactive virtual world that has deep cadences with our real one.

In addition to the main SXSW Conference, DIT is joining with UK partners to invite you to its UK House fringe programme. Come register for our free series sessions that will demonstrate British thought leadership across a range of topics in the creative industry: www.theUKHouse.com
