APPAREL DESIGN Garment design, which allows multiple use of the same product. It is a gown which gives the wearer number of changing possibilities with the help of ribbons and flaps.

Departmental Elective By exploring various textures on different types of fabrics, I finalised one what I did on felt by maiking a mould of m.s. rods to get the wavy textures, and then tried to make garment out of that.

Space Design Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad Sabarmati Ashram (also known as Gandhi Ashram) is located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad adjoining to famous Ashram Road, at the bank of River Sabarmati. I did site analysis, architectural analysis, structure, user analysis, research on activities that happen in the space, users and usages with respect to time and also qualitative and quantitative analysis of the space. Then I selected the space in front of Hridyakunj(Gandhi Niwas). As it’s an open space so I thought to create canopies or shades for that space so that people can stay there not only in morning and evening but also at day time.

Model making of the entire Gandhi Ashram at Scale-1:200.

Final prototype models of canopies

Paper Workshop The theme given to me for the product was LIGHT. When kept under fan the hood of the lamp rotates, scattering the light in a flickering fashion. The rotation of the hood makes the product visually light. The paper used in the product is handmade which was made by stuffing flower petals between two layers of cotton pulp.

OPEN ELECTIVE MATERIAL BASED APPROACH I have tried to explore diffetrent types of materials, and made products like- chair, stool, frames etc.

MEDIA EXPLORATION Exploring Papers, Charcol, Pen, Crayons, and Water colour
