Poem From Pastor Hatcher: THANK YOU MOTHER THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. We’ve known you now, for so many years & thank you for being there through all our fears. . . . I’m sure I speak for all the rest when I say that among mothers you are the very best. . . . Though silver & gold, you could not share you gave us treasures beyond compare. We have seen all that makes you sweet & swell The side that’s tough & as hard as nails
The side with love, that never fails. . . . You’ve been a teacher, a doctor, a friend You’ve taught us to pray You’ve taught us to win. You fed us with Manna, from God on High when natural food, was a little shy. . . . You’re like our Lord, in many ways though sometimes “No” is what He says He always shows love, each and every day. . . . We’ve known you to be, the wife of one man You’ve taught us that
virtue is much better than gain. . . .Though you did not graduate From Harvard or Yale You did something better You steered us from hell. . So on this, the birth of our Savior and Lord We pen you this poem, to tell you our hearts. . . . Thank you Mama for all your cares. We thank you Mother for all your tears We thank you Mother throughout the years. . . .” We Love You Written by Pastor Theresa Hatcher

“Unarmed but Dangerous”
Dear friends, As CEO of Tawana Williams Outreach, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) Non for Profit Organization, we The Management Team of Tawana Williams Outreach, Inc. are proud to let you know that we are at the beginning phases of creating the Debut ‘Movie’ “Unarmed But Dangerous” by Motivational Speaker/Author Tawana Williams. Today, she’s a nationally known Les Brown Platinum Speaker and travels throughout the country teaching life lessons and how to live a“No Excuse Lifestyle.” Tawana was born without arms and impaired use of her legs in 1963. Her compelling story is one of triumph, perseverance and determination. We are proud of where we are and the vision of what’s to come.
“Challenged yet Not Defeated But Abundantly Bless”
“No More Excuses Lifestyle”
Our beginning goal is to raise $200,000.00 for the first phase of the ‘Movie.’ At this time, we are asking two hundred thousand friends to donate at least $1.00 for the first phase of the vision. Currently, we are also accepting all donations of any amount; nothing’s too small or large. We are confident that after the ‘Movie’ is released and in theaters, lives will be changed because Tawana’s story captivates, motivates and eliminates all excuses in the lives of people and we’re confident that you will help make this happen. Our ultimate goal is to shoot many scenes of the ‘Movie’ in Tawana Williams’ hometown of Wilson, North Carolina. Perhaps, there maybe a scene or two in your town; you never know. This ground breaking opportunity will be a win-win situation for all that participate. At some point of the process there will be a casting call and then jobs will be created to showcase the talents in different communities. In essence, we need the support of many cities including the City of Wilson, North Carolina The Mayor Bruce Rose, The City Manager Grant Goings, delegates, other constituents, community leaders, professional business owners, the media and many communities at large to make the vision work. Remember, “We are Greater than I.” Thank you for your support in advance. “This shall come to pass!” Here’s the online link to Donate Now! www.gofundme.com/ unarmedbutdangerousmovie Donations by check or money orders can be mailed to: Tawana Williams Outreach, Inc. Joseph’s House (www.Josephshouse.net) On April 22, 2013 Joseph’s House hosted its 4th Annual Just 10 Women’s luncheon at First Baptist Church in Greensboro NC where more than 150 women gathered to rally their support around a CAUSE (homelessness among young adult males 18-23). Every year around this time Joseph’s House holds a luncheon for women where an appeal is made to solicit the support of women to help carry on the cause inspired by one woman, Rev. Nancy McLean and her fight to save our sons. Long before Rev. Nancy McLean received the vision for starting a ministry for homeless young men she experienced heart break and disappointment as she witnessed her only son caught up in the snares of drug addiction which ultimately led to crime and his imprisonment. Distraught by a turn of events that she had no control over, she vowed to do all she could to prevent the same thing from happening to other young men in her community. Joseph’s House was literally birthed out of her pain. In 2004 Rev. McLean founded Joseph’s House and embarked on a journey that has not only changed her life but the lives of all who meet her. You cannot hear her story and not be compelled to help. Her passion moves people to action. This correspondence is a call to action. Each year the board of directors sets a fundraising goal for the Just 10 Campaign. This year the goal is $10,000. As a follow-up from the luncheon and in celebration of Mother’s Day we have decided to extend the Just 10 Campaign through the end of May. What an awesome way to honor your mother on Mother’s Day by making a donation in her honor to Joseph’s House? If you appreciate the work Rev. McLean is doing in rescuing young men from the streets in our city then show your appreciation by becoming a Joseph’s House supporter. Here are a few reasons why you need to support this CAUSE. Since 2006: 352 young men 17-23 have lived at Joseph’s House Approximately 42 high school students have lived at Joseph’s House and graduated 8 out of 10 young men leave Joseph’s House rehoused or reconnected with family These are just a few of the outcomes experienced by young men living at Joseph’s House. Nothing pleases our staff and board of directors like hearing the testimonies of the young men as they enroll and attend college for the first time, establish independent living, find employment and/or re-unite with family members. We not only want to see then off the streets but we desire to see them become contributing citizens in our community. Thanks to partners like you we are seeing this each and every day. To learn more about Joseph’s House and the work we are doing please visit our website at www.josephshouse.net. Donations can be made on the website or checks can be made payable to Joseph’s House and mailed to PO Box 13241, Greensboro NC 27415.
