How did Key Club Become Special to you?

my passion lies with public service & helping others. key club has allowed me to learn so much about servant leadership and the value of kindness. that as leaders, we serve others, not the other way around. key club has given me so much to reflect on and has inspired me as i’ve seen so many students dedicate their own time to serving others and bettering their community. it has granted me the opportunity to serve my community & world, while making amazing friends & unforgettable memories along the way!

what was your “key club moment?”

the region 13 zom-bee apocalypse awake-a-thon rap battle! i’ll be honest, i wasn’t that active with key club my freshman year. it was really my sophomore year where i started attending events & attended the region 13 zom-bee apocalypse awake-a-thon. later on that night, we were sent into a humans vs. zom-bees rap battle & it was then where i spit BARS at 2am, (trust me they were fire ;D). i got so much love & hype from everyone in the chat, as did everyone else who performed! it was definitely my key club moment as it reminded me of what a great, supportive, & loving community i was a part of!

Ainsley Andersen has been a member of Key Club since her freshmen year, and has spent an even longer time pursuing creative writing. Now a senior, Ainsley continues to practice her love for writing in numerous different medias - as well as remains an active and prized member of Key Club.
