Service Spotlight District Endorsed Project

Service Spotlight

As the end of this strange school year approached, Brighton Key Club ended the year with making tons of dog toys out of tshirts to donate to shelters around the Rochester area. For about a week, Key Clubbers collected used and worn out tshirts from their home and brought them into school, where all the t-shirts were piling up. After collecting many t-shirts, Brighton students met after school making dog toys outside in the Alumni Courtyard. Many of the students had never made dog toys before, so it was a journey for many of them to learn the steps to make them. Not only did many students have a fun time learning how to make dog toys and competing with each other to see who can make the most, it was a great way to wrap up this year of service! After everyone completed making them, it was wonderful to be able to see the final product and all the wonderful, colorful dog toys that will be enjoyed.
