Huntington Key Club, Half Hollow Hills East Key Club, Half Hollow Hills West Key Club, Smithtown Key Club, and Ward Melville Key Club. Lt. Governor Zachary Baum KCR Mr. Farrell 12/19/2010 Governor’s Project

This year Governor Nadyli Nunez has selected Education to be the main focus of the Governor’s Project. In previous years “Going Green”, and “Our World-Our Focus” were two Governors Projects. This year’s project is titled “Keys to Education”. This year our goal is to serve 14,000 hours for the Governors Project. Sponsoring projects for “Keys to Education” is one of the criterions for many awards including “Distinguished Key Clubber”. Some ways that you may participate in “Keys to Education” is by Hosting a Book Drive, Sponsoring a tutoring program, hosting a game night with games like scrabble, reading to children, hosting a movie night that shows a documentary, sponsoring an art gallery that displays the work of elementary and middle school children, and having a music day at a preschool. I am requesting that each Key Club in Division III hold a service activity for the Governors Project by the conclusion of the Key Club Service year on April 1st. If you would like to do this project to receive credit for awards then I recommend completing it by the beginning of March. Award applications are due in early March. The way in which I will know if you completed a Governors Project Activity is through the Monthly Report Form submitted by the Club Secretary.
