OTC and June DCM

OTC AND JUNE DCM HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE?

The 2020 Officer Training Conference was definitely an experience unlike I’ve ever had. I expected it to be boring, but it was actually pretty fun and funny especially with the love notes. The LTG’s were really good at keeping everyone engaged, and my home club officers were able to learn a lot.

My experience at OTC was extremely positive. I participated in the treasurer's and fundraising workshop and learned a lot about dues payments and how the monetary management side of Key Club works. The LTGs’ were super informative and helpful with the entire process. Even though it wasn’t the OTC I had planned for, it was still an extremely memorable experience

My experience at the OTC was pretty eventful because it was my first one! I thought it was very helpful for me to understand my role as vice president and secretary of my club. It was a great time to bond with everyone from different regions. I especially enjoyed listening to the letters that everyone wrote to one another!

OTC was, as always, extremely informative! Although there were lagging issues, and it was sometimes difficult to separate everyone into different rooms under such a small time period, the LTGs’ handled it well. I could personally tell that they put a lot of effort into making sure it would go smoothly and having the members enjoy themselves while being educated on their positions. If there were any issues the LTGs’ seemed to be able to resolve it soon enough without making too big of an awkward break and gave us a lot of information on how we could improve ourselves and our individual clubs or divisions. Even though I was quite tired that day, I still found myself really enjoying OTC and the information (and friends!) that I got out of it!

This year was my first year at OTC, and I never expected it to be online. It was nice to meet the new LTG’s and other officers! Choosing from the many workshops to attend was fun. In the workshops, it was exciting to learn new things about Key Club and my position. Although we couldn’t meet in person, I was still able to make new friends through the Zoom Call Chat, which was very cool! It was a fun experience even thought it was online, and I hope to have an in-person OTC next year!

I had a really great time at this year’s OTC! Although it wasn’t like the annual OTC, the virtual experience was something just as fun, if not more fun! I really enjoyed the workshops I attended. I was really impressed with how everything flowed so smoothly as well. The LTGs’ did a fantastic job making this OTC unforgettable!

The year’s OTC was one to remember. Not only was it online for the very first time, but it was my first OTC as well! I was able to learn valuable tips from both the publicist and communications break out rooms. There were so many new faces that I was able to see, and it overall was a nice experience. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the event in person next time!
