LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR VISITS WHO: ALL DIVISION 65 HIGH SCHOOL KEY CLUBS WHAT: LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR VISITS WHERE: Your High School! WHEN: NOTE: If you r high school is not on the “Upcoming Events” calendar, please contact me to reschedule my visit. WHY: Lieutenant Governor visits are actually one of my favorite parts of being an LTG! I will be evaluating all of your board members and meeting structures to see that everything is going smoothly and to help you in any way I can! I’d like to give a brief speech and/or presentation so please notify me a week prior to my visit which your club would prefer! I am visiting your clubs to share more about Key Club on the District level and get everyone motivated to serve the community. I look forward to visiting you and your club! NAME OF PROJECT: “Project Educate” MONETARY GOAL: USD $30,000.00 (JMD 2,659,500.05) OBJECTIVE: Helping to support the development of early-childhood & primary education in the developing country of Jamaica. HOW WILL THE MONEY BE ALLOCATED TOWARDS EACH CONTRIBUTION? GOAL #5 30,000 High school scholarships for 10 students across Jamaica GOAL #4 27,050 St. Mary School (yet to be confirmed) school supplies GOAL #3 23,050 Online classroom assistance to 150 students across Jam. GOAL #2 20,050 Wakefield Primary School assistance for a new Library GOAL #1 12,050 Mona Heights Primary School supplies & library equipment

#YOLO CHARITY TEES These t-shirts were sold at Seattle Rally but LTG Rachel still has leftovers! If you are interested in purchasing one, please let me know and I will contact Rachel about your size/quantity! Each t-shirt is $15 and will go to the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program (KCCP).

DECEMBER DCM MEETING MINUTES I, Incoming Lieutenant Governor of Division 65, officially call this DCM to order on February 3, 2013 at 2:15PM. DUES: All schools have paid dues except SST DCON REGISTRATIONS: Mail-in registrations due February 5th, Online registrations due February 15th. If you haven’t registered your school yet, do so ASAP. Beaverton School District and Forest Grove HS need to plan transportation - do so accordingly. Hillsboro schools will be transporting together in one bus. Approx # attending DCON:  Century - 16  Glencoe - 5  HilHi - 6(?)  Forest Grove - 9  Sunset - 8  Westview - 0-3  Southridge - 10 - 11  Beaverton - (?)  Aloha - 7(?) This brings the attendance to about 57 people - please finalize all registrations and report back to me (Christon Senekham) your # of attendance as we will be placing orders for our DCON shirts:

(NOTE: There will be some minor tweaking and adding of school names to this shirt. This isn’t the finalized design.) DIVISION GEAR: Crewnecks “WE SO FLY” - there will be no more orders for the crewnecks. More division gear TBD later in the future. PROJECT EDUCATE: SALE ENDS SOON - $10 t-shirts $1 wristbands. Contact LtG Susie Than regarding orders. DIVISION PROJECT: Planning for the “Key Mother Banquet” has beenCANCELLED. We will be replacing this event with a Key Club and high school dance tentatively planned for the week before or after schools ends (beginning to mid June). The dance will be a semi-formal dance from 8-11PM.  Location: TBD. Possible locations include Elks Lodge, Hotel Convention Room, Cascade grill, Century Commons. - Hoping to plan event at Century High School in Hillsboro (Rina and Jenny).  Music/Playlists: Katie will be the head of music, taking requests for songs and planning the playlist. DJ will be determined, looking to find a student DJ at a low cost.

The planning of this project is still in the works, and more planning will be done at the next DCM. FUNDRAISING: Each school will be required to hold a fundraiser to go to division funds. Money from these fundraisers will be due APRIL 1st 2013. This is MANDATORY for all clubs. Possible fundraiser ideas include:  Key Club night at a local Restaurant - places like Five Guys, Burgerville, Pizza Schmizza, Buffalo Wild Wings, Baja Fresh or Krispy Cremes and more places will be willing to work out some sort of deal like “bring in a flyer and we’ll donate 35% back to your club.” - Talk to local restaurants!  Bowling night, Arcade night, etc - Same as the restaurants. Contact them!  Bake Sale - Hold a bake sale at your school,(check w/ administration first) try selling these at large school events, the local grocery store, church, etc. People will be willing to buy if your food is good  Door-to-Door fundraising - self explanatory Where do our current funds go to?: In our Division bank account, there is $1000+. We have decided that we will be evenly splitting this amount and donating it to three causes, KCCP, Project EDUCATE, and UNICEF. The next meeting is tentatively planned for March 3rd, 2013 at the Cedar Mills Library. I, Incoming Lieutenant Governor of Division 65, officially adjourn this DCM on February 3rd, 2013 at 3:21PM.
