MESSAGE FROM YOUR NEW LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR KIMBERLY TRUONG Hi Giraffes! I’m very excited to announce that I will be serving as your 2019-2020 Lieutenant Governor for Division 66! I’d like to thank everyone that attended the election rally yesterday, for taking your time to hear not just mine but also the other candidates’ speeches. I’d also like to give a special shout out to the 3 other candidates. During the short, but suspenseful hour and a half of the election, I had a chance to talk to the other candidates and I would like to thank them for their support. I know it meant a lot to all of us, but we were also all willing to support whoever got elected. Additionally, I would like to thank Julie Lely because she was a huge inspiration to me at DCON. I was amazed to realize that my cousin was running for District Editor and it opened my eyes to the fact that this wasn’t so out of reach. Of course I can’t forget about our current LTG, Daniel Huynh who answered the thousands of questions I had without complaint and has been extremely welcoming. I would also like to thank Alex Quan who was more nervous about my election than even me. Yesterday, mere hours before my election, she was also elected to become LTG of Division 62! Congratulations Alex! Lastly, thank you to everyone for your support whether in person or over the web! I look forward to meeting you all, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! That’s all for today, happy holidays everyone!!!
