Introduction Welcome to the 15th edition of the Times-Gazette’s community guide — “Ashland County Today.” This annual publication’s goal is to serve as a reference guide for navigating life in Ashland County. It’s essentially a book of lists — providing contact information for schools, community organizations, governmental agencies, churches and businesses. It’s the ultimate “news-you-can-use.” This year, we have added several pages of “Ashland County By-The-Numbers.” Over the past year, data from the 2010 Census has been released in various stages. Those numbers provide a fascinating look at our county on a variety of different levels, many of which are explored in a front-page story in today’s (July 31) newspaper. But a person can further examine those numbers and find many more interesting insights into our county and its communities. We’ve done our best to check and confirm the accuracy of the listings. But we realize, despite our best efforts, there have been omissions and mistakes. If your organization or group would like to be included in future editions, please email contact information to newsroom@times-gazette.com or suggest to us information we should include in upcoming editions. We hope you will use this guide throughout the coming year. Ted Daniels Editor and General Manager
