Hello! People call me Djoko im a visual communication design student who focused on branding and illustration. The brief for this project is to create a new logo for “Taman Kunang- kunang”. The logo should tell about a public space with the idea of a firefly representing the local youth that’s still ‘glowing’ at the park even when the day is getting dark. The new logo is a typographic logo that represents the firefly’s habitat.

The project goal is to tell a story about the store through facade design and for the related assignment, I chose chinese medicine stall facade design as my reference. The reason is because it has the most iconic look and I associate drinking coffee as the way to ‘heal’ people from feeling uneasy/burdened. Based on it, several ornaments are chosen, such as Lingzhi Mushroom, and Pa Kua, juxtaposed with coffee drip symbolyzes with health and prosperity

A

Sentra Ikan Asap Bulak is a fish market known for its smoked fish. The place also got a fish-smoking spot made for local fishermen so they won’t smoke on their own houses. The big idea is a place to increase the people’s wellness and prosperity. A bit inspired by constructivism design and local artwork, then recreated vernacularly based on local’s interest. The design is applied on many medium to create a good place branding that tells a story about the locals and its products.

The organic brand of KendiJati herbal drink is delivered by an eco-friendly packaging. By using corrugated cardboard, it increases the packaging strength. The logo and supergraphic are made from soy-based ink that is printed with lino-cut by hand in order to give handcrafted feeling. Aside from the materials being used, the packaging itself designed to have 3 ways packaging. One of them is carry-mode so the consumers can reduce the use of plastic bags.
