I’ve always loved everything fashion and textile related, althought I have the tendency to digitalize my work, for example I would combine classical painting with calcimine and mix it later in Photoshop. In this way I’m creating something that is both traditional and digital. I’ve found that I really like this mix and that it can create a new way of thinking. Possessing many skills today is a good thing and when you can combine them all into one passion it is considered a winning combination. Since I’ve known myself, I loved to create and I have a constant need to create art or simple design, but whatever I do, somehow I always go back to textiles and fashion. Right there, in such a mix, lies my uniqueness and love for fashion and textile things. I graduated from High School for Design in Belgrade, on Textile design program and after that I went to Faculty for Media and Communications, BA Digital Arts, where my major was graphic design. Although I have acquired many useful skills, not only in the world of design but also in the world of marketing, what makes me truly happy is when I can be close to fashion and textile things, I think every day how I can recycle a piece of old clothing or make something new with looms and weaving. How can I combine my love for textiles, fashion, photography and 3D, is no longer a question for me but a process of realization and implementation in each of my next projects.

Virtual Fashion Virtual fashion and the creation of a digital print represents the future. This is a pilot project that will be further developed. The prints are part of a project that I’m currently working on - a metaphorical self-portraits. Any motive that is part of the pattern has its meaning and is bound to one of my qualities or faults. The created sketches were made based on moodboards and the final collection is planned for the autumn / winter season. The project was followed by works done in the Clo and Cinema 4D software.

The project inspired by Russian avant-garde and Natalia Goncareva was created in response to a given task in high school. The realization of the project is reflected in the works of painting on the silk, cloth, weaving, fashion collection and the carpet proposal. In the Russian avant-garde, I’ve found my source of inspiration and after the completion of the project, I continued to study this area in art and develop further my artistic sensibility.

Textile painting By painting on textiles, we’re not only giving a new life to our wardrobe, but we’re also creating something of our own. I am very committed to textile recycling above all and one of my mottos, with which I strive to live, is acting sustainably. Painting on textiles is one of my greatest passions. The colors I use are the basic textile dyes.

Various textile projects Most of the projects came from the works realized during high school. I was engaged in painting on silk, weaving, making stamps that we would print on colored textiles, screen printing and pattern design.

Interactive fashion Interactive fashion project was created for a course during one semester at my university. The goal was to create a social interactive game with a story. Due to my huge connection with fashion and design, but also due to the influence of numerous online dress up games I used to play growing up, the topic of my work for the Interactive narrative course imposed itself. I made my own analog version of the dress up game, which consists of several papers with clothes and a main paper with a model. The player is obliged to cut a piece of clothing from paper that he/she likes and thus create his/her own clothing combination. Some of the offered items that could be found on the cutting paper were pants, dresses, shoes, skirts, suitcases and bags, but also hair with hats. To create an extra value to the game, I’ve decided to put a short verse, sentence or rhyme on the back of each piece of clothing, which I had previously also “cut” from my own songs that I wrote. The final product that the player would get would be his/her personal collage which consisted of a clothing combination and ,when they would turn over each cuted piece of the wardrobe , they would get a collage of a different kind- short song. This detail made game interesting and interactive. The player, just like in abstract art, would see something personal in his created collage obtained with a song and like that he/she could find his own meaning between the lines. This game contains a small piece of players own artwork that consist of a perfect pairfashion outfit combination and a short poem that is created by a chance. Player can read his/her poem after creating the outfit.

Other work In addition to my interest in fashion and textiles, I’m also into graphic design, photography, video art and 3D. I studied Digital Arts Bachelor Degree Program at Faculty for Media and Communication in Belgrade, and my major was Graphic Design. I’ve had opportunity to work for Viennese startup for the whole summer and do even some marketing. I value my experiences and knowledge a lot and I want to develop myself further. Diversity is the new thing!

The Global School of Entrepreneurship is a 4-week project that involves interactive workshops about entrepreneurship. The aim of the project is to encourage entrepreneurship among young people (high school and faculty students) in Serbia and enable them to develop entrepreneurial ideas through learning about different areas of business and developing the necessary skills while working in an international environment.

Balkan Cooperation Congress is the biggest conference in the Balkan sub-region of Europe which will engage 200+ AIESECers from the Balkan region. The Fashion Revolution and Who Made Your Clothes Movement? received an application that addresses the problem of textile sustainability and its recycling. A stylish app that every fashion ‘’ infulenser ‘’ will want, has some interesting features. Let’s imagine a future where every fashion brand is required to map the origin of their textile products, who are the workers who make those clothes, what the conditions are, and whether we can recycle that wardrobe later. Then, that data is stored in the frame of a single code that would be on the labels of that brand’s items. The application user would have access to all the information by giving the code a scan (as a QR) or simply typing in its code. This way, we are developing an awareness that what we wear has not come about simply from nothing, and that we can increasingly influence the solution to such problems.

Project self-portrait Through this project I’m trying to capture my aesthetics, thoughts, feelings, personal philosophy and how I experience and see myself. This project is a metaphorical mirror for how I express myself through design and photography and what influenced my development.
