Lonely Owl Lonely Owl, sitting so still You are with many but not like them You are still lonely Made by hands so small and gentle Your color of snow and cloud so dull Lonely Owl

Alone Hands Alone hands wanting, for someone to high-five someone. But no one answers, Are the hands bumpy, crackly we don’t know. You are just lying there, You will never move you are there forever. Alone Hands. By: Claire

Amazing Straws Straws, red and white like candy canes, Bendy, but not much, Sucks up liquid like a vacuum, Smooth on the palm of a hand. Used for a spitball launcher, Amazing they are, so much to do, Mostly drinking. Amazing straws. By Cooper

Fruit Bowl Fruit Bowl You are colorful You get as patternful of memories past You’re square, never round You are a star fruit You are mellow just as an orange.

Yet bright as a banana, You are always sad as a blueberry Yet you are never green Fruit bowl.

Fly Rainbow Fly Fly, Rainbow, away from here. Fly anywhere and everywhere Bursting with colors, Nowhere to fit in, all alone. You come out, sneaking behind In depth with nowhere to call home Yet I come along, and call you friend. Fly, Rainbow, Fly with me. By Sareena

Running hands, splattered, smeared. On your own, no one there Weird shapes extending upwards Emptiness creeping in all around You no longer hold things Kiwi inside, smeared all around Running Hands. By Lucy

Memorable Hands, you bright flower petals. You’re little and smooth. You remind people of good times. You’re a new can of fresh paint. Memorable Hands.

Memorable Hands, You’re colorful and joyful. You’re walked past every day. You watch over everybody. You’re looked at by people. You’ll never wash away. Memorable Hands.

The Potted Plant The Potted Plant Worn down, old Left to rot, to leave this world Sulks, knowing what lies ahead Limps, waiting for the end Sitting in sadness Sitting in fear of what will come next At death’s doorstep, slowly fading away Life being sucked out of it Stuck, unable to escape No place to go No desire to live anymore Almost history Now the potted plant is gone But its spirit will always be with us The Potted Plant

White As Snow White as snow Graceful and independent The cunning owl takes flight Silent as it preys upon another innocent soul White as snow. Black as midnight When it returns to its silent tree The population of the forest has dropped. By Barrett
