RECAP… September's here, and it's like the days are still holding onto that summer warmth, but the evenings? They're sneakily getting cooler, whispering that fall's almost here. It’s October next month?! That means it’s almost time to go to FRN!! To prepare for the upcoming FRN, Dozier- Libbey attended the first Spirit Social/September DCM. On September 16 at John F. Baldwin Park, 3 officers and 18 members attended the first Spirit Social and September DCM. We met all the new amazing and enthusiastic Spirit Coordinators. We played fun games during icebreakers, making it easy for everyone to get along. Most especially we learned our new cheers for the upcoming FRN! In this event we were able to interact and meet new people from different schools within our Region. Congratulations to our school and our club President for getting an award during the DCM! Also we gathered to prepare and practice the fun cheers made by our Spirit Team. Everyone’s energy was contagious, leaving everyone pumped for the upcoming FRN.

NEWS AND UPDATES
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign observed in October to increase awareness of breast cancer, promote early detection, raise funds for research, and provide support to those affected by the disease.
During this month, various organizations, charities, and individuals engage in activities and events to educate the public about breast cancer, encourage regular screenings, and highlight the importance of research in finding a cure. The campaign often involves wearing pink ribbons as a symbol of solidarity and support for those battling breast cancer.
Breast cancer awareness is important because it promotes early detection through regular self-exams and mammograms, significantly improving treatment outcomes. These campaigns educate individuals about breast cancer risks and symptoms, fostering informed decision-making for better health. Awareness initiatives also create a supportive community, providing emotional and physical assistance for those affected.
