Simple Steps to Sketching Out Your Wedding Budget Unless money is falling from the sky right into your pocket book, do not use your wedding as an excuse to accumulate a mountain of debt that could tragically help end the reason you are spending it in the first place – to be married to the one you love. In the world of weddings, your budget is your most critical tool. It is your wedding blueprint and will determine the rest of your planning. Sit down with your fiancé and establish a realistic budget. Be sensible about what you actually need versus what you want. Whether you have $5,000 or $50,000 to spend, listed are suggested percentages for allocating your budget to cover all costs of your wedding. Of course, the percentages can be changed to fit what’s important to you, as long as they all add up to 100%.

Spotlight
Say ‘I Do’ to an Amazing Venue! The Visalia Convention Center text by Wally Roeben
Nestled in beautiful Downtown Visalia, the Visalia Convention Center will make your dream wedding reception a reality. We have three beautiful and distinctive ballrooms that can be transformed into the perfect setting for your friends and family to relax, mingle, dance and enjoy your special day. The most intimate occasions find a cozy fit in our San Joaquin Ballroom, complete with brilliant lighting that adds a classy feel to your event. This ballroom accommodates receptions from 100 to 200 guests. The Charter Oak Ballroom, our most popular pick among brides, boasts high ceilings, grand chandeliers, custom lighting and a neutral surrounding for a couple’s imagination to create an elegant event. This ballroom accommodates receptions from 200 to 400 guests. Perfect for a grand ‘I Do,’ our largest ballroom is the Exhibit Hall. With your own theatrical elements, this room can be turned into your dream wedding reception. Our Exhibit Hall is best for the bride and groom really looking to wow their guests! For large receptions of 500-1600, there is plenty of room to set the stage for a celebration of celebrity status. In addition to being centrally located, the Visalia Convention Center has free on-site parking and is adjacent to some of the finest hotels in the area, making it the most convenient location for all of your wedding guests.
At the Visalia Convention Center, we want your reception to feel unique and personal. We aim to supply extraordinary services at a price that won’t break your budget. We have an on-site Certified Wedding Planner (Association of Bridal Consultants), on-site technicians, and exemplary staff to assist you in setting up your reception. We work to accommodate all cultural and religious celebrations by allowing each couple to bring in their own specialty elements; from cultural dancers and décor to accommodating special food and beverage needs. Take the stress out of your wedding planning by choosing from one of our two Certified Caterers who offer all-inclusive wedding packages with diverse menu options to complement your taste and budget. Or build your own package with one of our Certified Caterers instead. We want you to be the center of attention on your special day – so have your wedding at the Visalia Convention Center and be at the center of it all!
