WHEELS: CYCLOCROSS/TUBULAR. DISC CROSSLIGHT CXDisc Disc brakes are coming on strong in Cyclocross, but the choice of wheels is lagging behind. Our first CX disc specific wheelset, is a mid-level 28h clincher, aimed at the club rider and racer. We have designed these wheels to work perfectly with our ‘Crosslight Pro6‘ frameset and they are a great partner for The ‘Decade Tripster‘ fast commuter too. We have worked with ‘Freedom/WTB’ on the true disc-specific rim profile and these wheels use the same high-tension triple butted, stainless spokes and alloy nipples as our Maxlight wheels. BARS: CARBON MTB STRUT We have been developing some new carbon bars to compliment the elbows out and attacking trail-riding style of the Maxlight FF29 and the new crop of more aggressive 29er’s. These bars are very light at 166g, both bars are 750mm wide and 31.8ø. There is a ‘STRUT F750‘ flat bar with 6.5º backsweep and a ‘STRUT R750‘ riser with 15mm rise, 3º upsweep and 5º backsweep. Bar shape is a very personal thing of course but we have ridden various rises and angles and settled on these shapes based on what we feel works best for fast trail riding on a 29er, and of course if they suit you they will work nicely on a 26” MTB too!

The bars are made from ‘UD’ [unidirectional] carbon, giving a great balance of comfort, control and toughness and just like all our products have been thoroughly ride tested and subjected to the rigorous EN testing procedure before we bring them to market.
