TEXTILE DESIGN

BA (Hons) Textile Design at De Montfort University gives students the opportunity to work in distinct specialisms of knitted, mixed media, printed or woven textiles. This year our students have, yet again, excelled themselves in the production of wonderful collections of design work. They have explored many different themes and processes in depth, and this has been achieved through hard work and resilience over the last three years. The vast range of skills they have developed during their years of study will ensure that they will be able to navigate through their intended career path.

The students have already had the opportunity to showcase their talent to industry by competing in national and international competitions. They have also had the opportunity to work on live projects for Next, Royal Crown Derby, Habitat and Amtico. Designers from each of those companies were amazed by the quality of work created by the students.

We know that these students, like so many of our previous graduates, will go on to do amazing things in whichever path they choose to follow. We wish them all well.
