The design of Terminal 2 as a garden experience is a natural extension of the Bangaluru brand. In emphasizing the passanger experience, the design unmistakably embraces what makes this new innovative terminal unique; contextual architecture, natural daylighting, intuitive way-finding and the marriage of art, culture and space. The design sets a new 21st century standard for air travel and a ground-breaking new work of architecture for the gateway to the city of Bangalore.

THE AVENUES HOTEL & RESIDENCES Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 2016 Great public spaces are marked by great buildings. At the intersection of one of Riyadh’s most prominent thoroughfares, The Avenues Hotels & Residences will stand as a memorable gateway to the city of Riyadh and a glittering beacon to the Avenues project. The tower’s elegant forms and distinctive glittering facades will provide an iconic and memorable presence to pair with Riyadh’s newest premiere retail destination.
Aerial Perspective | Image courtesy of SOM
The Avenues Hotel & Residences marries structure, sustainability and aesthetic to form a delicate architectural language that carries from the ground to the crown of the building. The towers slender-tapered forms are punctuated by a cascade of stacked overhangs that facilitate the various programs along the height of the buildings. The overhangs push and pull from the face of the towers to provide passive shading for the rooms and residences, form a trellis for rooftop amenities and create grand canopies for the exclusive drop offs. These undulating architectural features simultaneously creates a distinct yet elegant form while providing a unified architectural expression.

The towers unique facade system integrates passive sustainability strategy with modern material technology. The curved form gives each glazing unit its own structural integrity thereby eliminating the need for vertical mullions. Solid spandrels and deep overhangs shield the interiors from direct solar radiation, reducing glare, increasing energy efficiency and making for more comfortable interior environments. The result is an elegant and highperforming exterior facade system.

Working in collaboration with Brown Harris Stevens, the resulting brand and positioning feels as dynamic as it is balanced. Referencing the vertical interior panels in the lobby which are conceptually inspired by a grove and the architecture which features a subtle mingling of organic materials and lush textures, The Brooklyn Grove provides a peaceful oasis and yet remains distinctly Brooklyn.

San Francisco, CA 2018 MIRA’s distinctive facade marks the evolution of architecture and design in San Francisco. It is the result of two forces - Studio Gang and Tishman Speyer - coming together to create something that feels exciting and authentic to its setting and surrounding neighborhood. Rooted in an ethos that feels authentic for the city, MIRA moves away from the imperonal buildings of its past and towards a future of accessible, artistic, high-design architecture. Here is a building that is a work of art, one that will be appreciated and admired by those who recognize quality and originality in all forms.

In collaboration with Polaris San Francisco, The Seventh Art was approached to imagine the brand for this iconic property, with a logo and underlying grid systems that references the architectural angles of the building and textural details playing up the contrast in materials and reflection found on the exterior. The resulting brand reflects on the cutting edge design to help you discover a new angle on life in San Francisco
