Drone Laputa

A drone logistics center is an inevitable future. In February 2023, the government of Korea announced plans to commercialize drone delivery by 2027. Architects must capture the changing life as a space. Located in Incheon Port, the project is a gateway to spreading logistics of Southeast Asia to Seoul, the metropolitan area, and across the country. Trucks, large drones, and small drones are selected for delivering goods from 0.5kg to 100kg. This project delicately proposes a sequence of landing, maintenance, storage, charging, and takeoff of the drones. Exploring the future of drones and logistics, Drone Laputa suggests architects’ dream of the future perspective.
