I always believe that how our surrounding environment produce positive and negative outcomes among people who deal with it and I was always fascinated by the idea of thinking and designing a better place that help meet their needs, interests and activities. When I began my college studies I realized a deep satisfaction in the art of design. I majored in Urban Planning & Design under the department of architecture, I studied many fields along the 5 years of college including engineering prep year, I was interested in expanding my knowledge of how to build a comfy environment for people who daily affected by it. My profession work since I graduated in 2015, was gradually leading to specialize in “Landscape Architecture”. I am also seeking to broaden my artistic capabilities suitable to this delicate profession.

Landscape Masterplan & Design

Marassi Hub Hotel Landscape Design NorthCoast - Egypt

The site, located on the Mediterranean coast, is a desert climate with consistently warm and moderate temperatures and very little rail fall. Marassi harbours within it an enigmatic community with neighbourhoods inspired by six different Mediterranean lifestyles including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Greece, Spain and Italy The design features an arrival court and entry through an intimately scaled open air pavilion featuring lounge seating areas and views across the landscape and pool to the marina beyond. The planning uses building forms wrapping and overlooking an linear pool to the north and west while providing a landscape buffer to the adjacent property to the east, and open towards the south for views along the marina and promenade. The design is contemporary Mediterranean style, in keeping with neighboring buildings, featuring bold rectilinear forms in white, with warm wood-tone accents, and an indoor-outdoor spaces throughout.

Landscape Location The site, located on the Mediterranean coast, situated along the Alamein coastline. 125 kilometres from the chanting Alexandria and only a few kilometres from El Alamein, Marassi is the upcoming gateway to Egypt, sending out worldwide invitations across the Mediterranean Sea. Design will achieve commonality between the Hub Hotel and the adjacent buildings by using similar rectilinear geometry and massing variety, though with less reliance on stone. The examples to the left indicate a general material pallet of light colored stucco with grey accents. The forms should be rectilinear and contemporary but include some detail and refinement.

Hardscape Layout Hard Landscape - Arrival Zone The hard landscape scheme will seek to implement a simplistic range of materials which will ensure the landscape is both durable and flexible enough to accommodate regular and heavy use. The plaza will be finished with a combination of natural stone materials which are very durable and will seek to compliment the Architectural design language. Hard Landscape - Parking Area The hard landscape scheme will be a simple landscape intent on creating a hierarchy of space and definition between road and parking spaces. A simplistic range of materials will be used to ensure the landscape is durable to accommodate regular vehicular use. Hard Landscape - Pool and Dining The hard landscape scheme will be a formal landscape focused on usability, transition and optimised views. Natural stone Steps define the circulation and access from the main pool deck paving and will be finished with natural Stone and bull nose edges. Located around the pool, they will also act as informal seating areas between the planting areas and created a tiered landscape to maximise views. A darker contrasting colour will help to create visual distinction

Groundcover planting below will allow the pots to remain unobstructed. On arriving within the entrance plaza, a feature. Clipped hedge planting alongside the main vehicular access will provide a formal boulevard entrance that differentiates the pedestrian and vehicular access Groundcover planting will be used in all planting zones, this will form the base level planting layer and also conceal the irrigation infrastructure. Succulent planting will be used at the main drop off to provide architectural form at the entrances.

Soft Landscape - Parking Area .The emphasis here is on providing shade and cohesion between Landscape and Architecture. Perimeter tree and shrub planting will soften the architecture and assist in blending the two schemes together. Pedestrian Access to the Hotel Entrance will be shaded where possible to enhance the arrival experience. Trees with larger, denser canopies and clear stems will create instant shading on infrastructure.

Swimming Pool Landscape Design

The swimming pool design will seek to introduce a contemporary yet functional range of facilities which will become one of the most desirable elements within the hotel. The pool will act as focal point within the landscape and will act as the centrepiece of the hotel external space. The pool will be designed in such a way as to reflect the Architectural form whilst providing a pool that maximises the coastal setting and provides a stylish yet functional pool which can be enjoyed by all guests. Careful consideration will be given towards both adults and children alike, a sophisticated design will ensure that the pool is located in the best possible locations to create an outstanding experience for guests whilsttaking account of issues such as safety and legibility. All pools will be finished with high quality materials and finishes to enhance the modern feel to the landscape and maintain the concept. Details such as flush edge channels, swimming pool seating and infinity edges will assist in creating a more unique pool experience

ANKH Island Luxor - Egypt

Ankh Island “Awameyya Island” Located in Luxor surrounded by the thin ribbon of green that marks the Nile seems very vulnerable, surrounded by the dry wadis and mountains of the desert. Luxor and its environs now make up one of the world›s finest historic sites Being surrounded by so much history is just one of Luxor›s attractions. With tourism now one of the most important factors in the local and national economy, the Egyptian government, working in partnership with UNESCO, has embarked on a massive scheme to enhance the temple sites and relocate a substantial portion of the city further to the south where a new tourist quarter is being planned complete with the largest open-air museum in the world.

The ancient Egyptians› attitude towards death was influenced by their belief in immortality. They regarded death as a temporary interruption, rather than the cessation of life. To ensure the continuity of life after death, people paid homage to the gods, both during and after their life on earth. When they died, they were mummified so the soul would return to the body, giving it breath and life. The journey to the afterworld was considered full of danger. Upon arriving in the realm of the Duat (Land of the Gods), the deceased had to pass through seven gates, reciting accurately a magic spell at each stop. If successful, they arrived at the Hall of Osiris, the place of judgement. Funeral procession; To prepare the deceased for the journey to the afterworld, the «opening of the mouth» ceremony was performed on the mummy and the mummy case by priests. Here the gods of the dead judge whether the person›s earthly deeds were virtuous. Twelve gods listened to the confessions of the deceased who claimed to be innocent of crimes against the divine and human social order. , the goddess of truth and justice. the person was justified and achieved immortality. If not, it was devoured by the goddess Amemet. This meant that the person would not survive in the afterlife. When a pharaoh passed the test, he became one with the god Osiris. He then travelled through the underworld on a solar bark, accompanied by the gods, to reach paradise and attain everlasting life.

I have always enjoyed Art from an early age, This love of Art has developed me and my thoughts to be grown in different perspective of my own. Although I pursued an academic rather than creative path in University, I have always been fascinated by the patterns that occur in art, architecture and the natural world, Drawing and painting have heightened my appreciation of them as I believe my work basically is depending on art.
