Her main interests in photography lie in urban settings, in constructed places and spaces both active and abandoned. She aims to find beauty and excitement in the everyday environment and to pay attention to the aspects that can sometimes pass unnoticed. She has had two exhibitions together with a Finnish street artist Sampsa whose work she has photographed, and her photos have been published in a few printed media outlets.'
"In my photogr aphy I always seek to find something unexpected in an ever yday ur ban setting. I am fascinated by the relationship between the built environment and the people using it, and how this relationship affects both parties involved. I find photography to be the perfect medium for this as it is instant and often also instinctive.

Her paintings have been featured in several publications including Professional Artist M agazine and Flowers In Art: Co ntemporary Internatio nal Artists by Cindy Coldiron. Working primarily in oils, Ekaterina incorporates glazes into her paintings, manipulating the o il paint to create a fantastical, dream like mood. She draws her inspiration from fairytales, memories and dreams.
"My paintings are product of my memories, fantasies and imagination. I am interested in composing a fictional space which fuzes together the experiences of my childhood in Russia, with my current surroundings. The abrupt separ ation from my home country in my adolescent years created a strong attachment to specifi c imagery. The nostalgic notes resonating in my work are often subconscious and involuntary. I am influenced by dr eams and fairy -tales and the surreal world in which they exist. The use of unusual color is an important aspect of my work, as it is responsible for the mood and dream -like quality the images evoke. Amplified darkness and obscurity refer to some lost and fading memories, while emphasizing the strength of others. The stark contrast, often found in my work prevents me from becoming overly sentimental, and allows me to create a new found world emerging through the paintings. ”

Georgina Vinsun
Georgie is a young co ntemporary British fine art painter who paints colourful Romantic abstracts in oil o n canvas. Filled with depth and detail, the paintings are all inspired by the aweso meness of nature, in particular, the sky.
“The sky rarely fails to move me ; I never tire of watching the sky, observing the changes in light and tone found within throughout the day. I aim to evoke thoughts of nature, gar dens and skies in those viewing my wor k, but simultaneously I like for the works to retain an element of ambi guity, of total abstraction, thus leaving them completely open to interpr etation. Alongside my passion for the awesomeness of nature, sits a deep -seated passion for spontaneity and expression, which finds its form in the brush marks and spir alling, gestur al lines that come to rest on top of the soft, atmospheric veils of colour which make up the body of my paintings.

Lauranne Guyomard
"Textile and graphic designer student, my name is Lauranne Guyomard. I come from France where I am finishing my study at "Beaux Arts de L yon". My work is focus on intricate and small patterns swarming with details. Fascinated by fashion and attentive to det ails, I’ve grown a strong passion for textile design particularly for hand print illustrations. There is a very immediate and obvious beauty in patterns, which I love. I am convinced that many things still have to be discovered, learned and shared, that' s why I am looking to work overseas and to have as many experiences as possible. "
Lorna Ritz
Lorna Ritz is an abstract expressionist painter and professor who lives and works in Amherst, Massachusetts. "My ideas come from my imagination in a completely improvisational, passionate way. I love to see open, breathing, moving space create entry ways deep into the picture plane on the flat surface of linen. I compose with ‘chor ds of notes,’ as in ‘lines in jazz,’ through color . My paintings ‘sing’ through the light that emanates from the color combinations themselves. I ‘listen’ to how the paint wants to move. The horizon gives prelude to what is beyond landscape in the paintings, (thus, the abstraction), as I want ‘to push it there,’ beyond what th e eye sees as gravity/sky landscape. I am developing the tradition coming out of cubism and then Hofmann’s plastic space."

Niki Hare
Niki Hare is a diverse visual artist whose wo rk revolves around ideas of existence and vision. “I paint in order to stave off the nausea she says. The work dissects and explores the world she has suddenly found herself in. “The world is paused, broken down in to layers, shuffled, pushed back together and sent on its way. Nothing is static, there is a sense of the t emporary, imbalance, discomfort." From the artist's eye everything is viewed from all angles, broken down into frames, maps, diagrams, aerial views. There is a focus on both what is there, but also the spaces between, what could be there. Combining murky observation with a sense of painting from the inside out, these works act as portraits and an inv estigation of the self.

Olivia McEwan
Olivia trained as an art historian specialising in medieval art, completing a Masters at the Courtauld Institute, L ondon. Througho ut her academic career she has independently developed her skills as a portrait and figurative painter. Working in oil, she explores the expressio n of emotion and mental states via the body, rendered in brushwork that is vigorous, masculine and highly distinctive. The works are direct and uncompromising in their effect. Similarly, Olivia’s portraits exploit an acute understanding of the sit ter’s face to represent unique character traits and individuality . Her work is unflinching in its truthfulness, painted rapidly with energy. More recent work sees a greater experimentation with media; she almost never works from a blank white canvas, preferring to dye the raw canvas at the earliest stages of construction, resulting in work that is multi layered. By experimenting with unusual pigments and dyestuffs such as wine or cigar ash, the work itself gradually evolves in tone as the dyes decay .
Pascal Marlin
From The Voice (L uxembourg daily) Wednesday, January 1 4, 2009, Culture, pages 9 and 16 Beauty at its peak By Emeline Henry The work of Pascal Marlin is to create individuals such as a skater or a pregnant woman with collage of various materials o n which he adds paint. He places his characters in env ironments without volume treated in flat matte colors as did Matisse. The dimensio ns and the effect of depth figures are from unst ructured to excess. The v isitor is both attracted and repelled by these paintings. The face of each is quite realistic because from a photocopy of a portrait photo, which tends to hold the audience, but the body swollen to the point that it is difficult to recognize that the members confuse . The use of X -rays as shade, accessory or part of the body adds a touch of originality to all of these works.

Suzy Sweet
"When I find a beautiful antique scientific illustration, I respect the intent of the original artist. Most of the time my work is simply to minimize any damage that has occurred due to the aging process and do what I can to br ing out the tr ue original colors and renderings. These hundreds of years old illustrations are very relevant today as we all work to find ways to save many at risk species of plants and animals. "

Yirang Kim
"I was a child, who couldn't fit into the wor ld full of Dos and Don'ts. The society always ask for certain aspects from people and if one can't satisfy that expectation, they often become left out. So I rather stayed silent than freely express my thoughts and feelings to avoid being a freak. Art is the only way that I can freely express myself and painting is the closest form of language that I can use for sharing my world with viewers. As you look through my works, you'll be experiencing the world I perceive, freed from any forms of rational thoughts or any rules that we are living in."
