Invisalign Is Removable but Braces Are Not Traditional braces are nothing but metal wires and brackets which are not removable. Whereas, invisalign are clear custom fit trays. Since, these are clear you can get your teeth straightened without anyone knowing you have braces.
Brace Are Annoying Braces can cause discomfort and irritation to your lips, tongue and inside your mouth. Whereas, with Invisalign one can stay comfortable in social state of affairs and it does not affect your speech as well.
Traditional Braces Have Food Restrictions There are more food limitations on patients with traditional braces. Braces do not love crunchy and crispy foods. By eating such foods, brackets may loosen and the wires may get damaged. With Invisalign you don’t have to give up your favorite foods as it is removable.
Invisalign Is Not Good For Turning or Rotating Cylindrical Teeth Canines and premolars cannot be altered by Invisalign as it is not mechanically attached to the teeth. If a patient has too many cylindrical teeth or lots of rotations has to me made, then traditional braces are best solution.
Patients who need major back teeth movements or adjustment of “cross-bite� in back teeth are better treated with traditional braces than Invisalign.
