RPS Documentary Group - Photo Scratch

In June the Documentary Group hosted the popular Photo Scratch event at the RPS headquarters in Bristol. Photo Scratch involves a group of six to eight photographers previewing their ongoing projects. Each selected photographer is given a wall space to display their work in any way they see fit (rough prints, contact sheets, annotations, captions, text, projection etc).

The audience, consisting of other photographers, people within the industry, and anyone who is interested, are then welcome to discuss the work and leave written feedback for each project. This valuable written feedback is then kept by each photographer for future reference. The event combines elements of a pop-up exhibition, a feedback opportunity and a social gathering.

The event had great feedback from those participating and attending and found it valuable. There will be more information on the Photo Scratch process in the next edition of The Decisive Moment. We are planning to put on a future event with Photo Scratch in the near future.
